So by the looks of it they use 2 different rails to reach the higher and lower output, they then alter the dsp to extend the bass. The bass up feature is on the dsp side blatantly.

@alanrossreviews the amplifier are digital right... so they make a speaker that's 140 watts rms or peak,, then dial down the rail voltage or gain as you say for battery conservation... now what I'd like to know is if the battery can sustain 140w output which would be rms,,, if the battery is only rated at an output of 100w then the 140w is peak power. Marketing couldnt trademark a 2 stage amplifier so added heavy dsp "bass up" to catch eyes... the new software has tweaked the bass slightly.. but I don't have a before to test against.

Thanks for the spec sheet. you can't find the weight and dimensions anywhere at the moment. since my motion boom plus (faulty with heat problems) starts breaking i can't wait for the boom 2 plus. but i'm not happy it got wider and almost 1.5kgs heavier. well, you can't have it all i guess...

@@wishandwatch not sire where you got that from, x20 is 7.kg on my scales and not much heavier than bb3 which is 6.7kg. of course if thats too heavy the boom 2 plus may be for you but then so may the motion boom plus. i only mentioned the x20 because everyone is talking of the boom 2 plus as bb3 killer when if thats the case its real rival is the x20.

Ive emailed the company without getting a reply. Maybe you guys could also ask on my behalf but a lot of these companies do not want honest independent reviews. They do make some silly claims so they appear one of those companies. It does have a large subwoofer so im sure it has some decent bass. Just not like they claim.

My brother found a JBL Partybox 310. 343€. Nice. It's maybe a 2020-2022 model, but it's still sealed in the original box. Battery life is maybe diecent. 15 hours or maybe less. Batteries degrade even if you don't use the speaker.

I'm torn between the motion boom plus and the stormbox blast. The stormbox has that sweet deep bass but it's heavy and lacks some mid to upper bass. The motion boom is lightweight and has mid to upper bass tuning. ​@@camilonicolaslombosandoval7680

So about two weeks into owning the boom 2 i noticed theres a slight rattling noise in the right side when heavy bass is playing. First few days i was able to heavily push the bass with 0 distortion but oddly enough it has developed distortion when i push the bass now. I dont understand why its doing that lol. I had to get a replacement the next day and that one developed distortion a lot quicker and it was much worse on that one. So i returned it. I still have the original one and it doesnt distort on every song but it will on a lot of songs that i listen to. I'm getting another replacement and if that one develops distortion I'm getting my damn money back lol. Not a good first impression for a brand new speaker.

Yeah build quality and quality control is diving faster than trump can rack up guilty charges 🤮 im looking at my boom 2 plus with plastic ridges literally glued to the end of the passives and thinking will the madness ever end. My two x600s were unlistenable from day 1 from distortion, my motion 300 distorts and so does my x500. I can only think either we are unlucky or the world has gone crazy 🤪

i dont have the speaker. i have to wait for one to ship. this 140w/100w sounds like snake oil to me. the only reason i could see for that is if they had a low gain and high gain mode so low gain is a bit cleaner but people buying these units will never notice a difference. at the end of the day the apmp just supplies the power the unit needs so those would only be ay max draw anyways.

For EU market is a must, propably is same for rest of the world, because standarization make it cheaper in production. If You pause at spec (time stamp: 21:53): PD 30W is one of USB-C standards (15W 2A) So it most propably scenario ;)

New Stuff TV seems to walk a middle line between it all, not totally in one pond or the other.

JBL Boombox 3 is now 250€. Is it worth it? It is a 2 years old model and the battery is pretty bad, maybe. JBL Boombox 3 Wifi is 600€, but it has self tuning and self tuning sometimes makes the bass disappear almost completely. Even with bass EQ settings at maximum. I have Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, two of them and they also have self tuning. JBL Boombox 3 Wifi uses the same self tuning feature. I don't want to lose 600€. 😬😬😬😬😬😬 Self tuning ruins JBL Boombox 3 Wifi and Harman Kardon Go + Play 3.

I know you hate channels working with brands they enjoy as well as marketing (that not only Soundcore does) of course they want to take about their branding etc and it can get annoying but all brands do this. Yes, we did a sponsored video on the Boom 2 Plus as well as the Boom 2 and will continue working with them. Great speakers for the money and I know you do recommend the Boom 2 if you're looking for that kind of a speaker. Our audience have all been super happy with the Boom 2's they bought! Well, this might be the first bit of blatant clickbait that I really don;t mind. There is no way that "script" is for real right? I mean it is Hyperbole... right??? Dude, you totally should have taken the free boombox 3 and done the review almost like this one! They gave you some real comedy gold to go off of there man. thats genuinely what they wanted me to do in a video. whether everyone got the same instructions well i dont know. not really because everyone has a different idea of what it means to beat the BB3. i mean the x20 had more bass and went louder but for anyone with decent ears the BB3 simply sounds better anyways. so i assume the boom 2 plus will go louder and have more total bass but i expect the overall sound to be inferior and im not expecting it to beast the bb3 for deep bass which the x20 can.

I will be buying one (with free Motion 300) to add to my collection, along with millions of buyers worldwide.
