Hello Soundcraft Ui24R, I own xr12, xr18 and x32 and been using it for couple of years, but I'm not pleased with the audio quality from them, so I have to make a decision to purchase this Ui24R or the RML32ai, so I've been exploring the software for both mixer. I have to admit that I just love the Ui24R software, it's the best one out there!!! Very flexible, powerful, look good and most importantly sound good. However, I find it's very annoying to have the faders extend to the height of the screen. You don't need it to be that long. Just imagine you have the software in full screen on a 24" touchscreen, and the faders are covering 3/4 of the screen height or the Gate and Comp fit across the screen, that's just so silly. If Soundcraft is listening, please. It would be a dream machine if a firmware update change the control software, to have the EQ, Gate, Comp docked on top of the faders.

But I can't wait for your team finish...so I did some experiment on my own today, and created a video for you in the link below. :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKa3eaF6mr51eLM It's not perfect, but very close to what I would like but it was kind of sluggish though, maybe it's because I was using the online demo version of the software. Too bad I don't have a real mixer to run a real test on.

Hello there, in order to control this mixer, Is there any midi controller available? Is it possible to control an Ui24R with something like, behringer X TOUCH or a similar controller? Thank you for your answer!

Not directly but via a PC-MAC, several 3rd party developers have applications that let you connect controllers in various ways. Best you ask via the Facebook Ui24R group

The HDMI output is a single browser although you can certain SYNC to it from another browser so you could use HDMI as faders for example and another 2 small devices to show EQ/COMP.

I really enjoyed ur video sir. I just want to find out if the browsers are actually accessing the internet or just the router in sync with the ui24r. It's kind of confusing.

Thank you, Ui24R has a built in Web Server, so no need for any INTERNET connectivity to the outside world, just your own private network (as you mentioned above) either wireless or wired.

I am having trouble on my player. is is red lining all the time. any level set for play back on player.

It's not your player. If the files are mastered or recorded near ZERO dB then it will show RED as it's very close to ZERO dB. It does not mean distortion here. Remember USB-Ui, it's all digital so what ever is on the USB stick is what you hear. If you want to reduce the level before the fader, use the compressor MAKEUP GAIN fader and reduce the level there.

has not replaced it but gave you another option, you may still want to run multiple browsers (for example one screen always on AUX sends)
