Thank you. I’m new to this and trying to figure out how to edit the drums. I usually duplicate the kick and snare and add effects to darken them but I’ve found drums in Logic Pro that need bare minimum of work added but I still like making my percussive sounds unique.

You can still do that, just duplicate more drum kit designer on tracks and add relevant effects… for more control use the drum synth instead… or you can still use a dedicated AUv3…

Great tutorial. One thing I noticed is that when I'm working in the loops view, making changes to the drummer panel doesn't seem to update the loop always. Any idea how I can make changes within loop view?

Is there a way to rearrange the drum pads in a custom order rather than just gm name and chromatically? I’d like to setup a finger drumming arrangement

You can do that using the Drum Machine Designer but you have to create your own kit…

Can you swap the snare from the SoCal kit to the snare from the heavy kit without changing the rest of the kit???

Yes but you need to do it manually recreating the snare…

Seperate by note pitch outputs each drum to the same midi channe;, I discovered today. No idea how to put them on seperate midi channels so they all don't mute when you try to mute one for example. These tutorials are great btw. Thanks.

Copy and paste them for now to new tracks as an initial quick workaround… as LogicPro is keeping integrity behind the scene for the Drummer object

To expand it even further, select a drummer style you like then go through the browser and try different kits. The sounds don’t always match the symbols in the drummer but you can get some interesting and unexpected results.

@@soundformore the browser is garbage the plug ins don’t work correctly, the sounds that come with it aren’t playing with the keyboard or drum pads it’s so annoying I stopped using it so I don’t destroy my iPad Pro getting pissed off and these tutorials are so hard to watch don’t provide step by step instructions or a quick start to build a song ! it’s cluttering the screen so much I can’t believe they think this is good at all . Too bad they never listen to their customers at all and instead just shove crappy videos down our throats. So many people are furious about this interface especially people who use and love garage band which compared to the agonizing experience in Logic GarageBand ( even with its stupid limitations) is so superior for song writing to Logic on iOS it’s making me very sad about getting excited about it . Korg Gadget is so superior to this junk I hardly ever use Logic anymore because it slows everything down to a crawl . I’m totally disappointed. The only apple native pro daw is shit to write a song in! So sad and they let us endure these horrible tutorials that put me to sleep because the instructor just rambles on and on . And lots of stuff won’t work right .I load a guitar from korg module it plays fine I load a bass but the guitar is th only instrument that will play .,shit like that should never happen period but logic isn’t set up for everyone only the insiders who designed it like it obviously. Is that what you want to hear ? Cause it’s true .😵‍💫✌️👽

@@soundformore only the included instruments work the way all instruments should in Logic which means the tutorials will not work correctly if using a third party instrument sometimes and it’s impossible to tell which Audio Units will and which won’t work. So immediately I’m ready to kill apple while trying to use instruments I like to use in the daw version. 😵‍💫👽

@@soundformore you are a good man for doing what you do especially because Apple isn’t helping you which is disgusting. But the browser for example on the desktop doesn’t translate on the iPad Pro properly. We all know that the majority of people were coming from garage band because that’s all apple offered for way too long ( fact) so now their answer is to destroy the iOS users of garage bands beautiful experience for song writing and create the most distressing thing I’ve seen since my most hated iOS app AUM . All they had to do is give GarageBand the mixer the instruments in total offered on the desktop version ( including the full libraries and the sampler ) and all export and midi in and out and everything would have been seamless to move over too especially for a subscription service daw . This upsets me and distracts me from any comfortable workflow on this kind of device. With the software. I keep using Korg Gadget which lots of folks are starting to realize is vastly superior presently in all aspects and the ones that it’s not better at don’t really matter much anyway. Pass this along to Apple please! They need to hear this from everyone! 👽✌️

The auto drummer is an excuse for crappy drum choices and it’s obvious your starting here because creating a drum kit is a nightmare. 👽😵‍💫
