don't know if anyone ever noticed this but every single soundgarden track, chris can keep his voice range at or above the instruments (even live). its literally a war between matt, kim, and ben vs chris. don't know what came first, the overly loud harmonic sound or chris' voice, but they definitely feed off of each other.

Soundgarden were always given these same questions, Chris never really gives a shit because he's said it all before and plus he probably didn't think he cpould solely represent the scene. Not that he's not worthy, but he's a modest person.

Soundgarden and Alice are incredibly interesting bands and if you ask me, I'd take them over Nirvana and Pearl Jam. But you can't undermine Nirvana and Pearl Jam's body of work. All were great bands. With that said, most folks seem to forget probably the most important band to ever emerge from Washington state, The Melvins. It's a possibility many bands wouldn't have existed had they not heard their music.

As much as I loved Soundgarden if they got back together it wouldn't sound like it used to. I mean, have you heard the Chris Cornell solo stuff? He's definitely in a different place. Nothing they did after Badmotorfinger had the rawness that made them great imo anyway.

These interviews of Kym and Chris back then make me laugh so much - the females who interview do all the cool chick trying to ask interesting questions and flick their hair hoping for eye contact - with Chris never Kym and I am pissed off about that -Chris and Kym are two lovely guys - best of buddies - and deserve more-yeah I would have to rein in the flirt - it would be tricky but I love them both - and the questions are forever quite banal whether delivered by some dude asking about why your music is so loud or some blonde babe flicking her version of rock hair - to be honest if I had had to interview them I would have been freaked out, excited and about to spontaneously 'react' but think I would have tried to appear a little less -'just please do me Chris' - how must Kym feel through these things - and to be honest - he is cute as and plays the most glorious guitar - I love Soundgarden full stop -

+entertain7us14 I have seen sooo many interviews from back then and they do have that same dynamic- and Chris has always had women swooning - understandable but must have irritated him at times just wanting to be talking about his work -anyway -that aside love love love the guys- the music, their intelligence, work ethic, silliness - all of it. Just interesting dudes. It ultimately makes no difference - they are who they are and that is what matters- better world with them in it.
