Just saw Soundgarden and they opened the show with this song on Mothers Day. It was so fucking amazing. It was the final time they played the song. Chris died three days later after the next show. Its a night and week I will never forget. RIP Chris.

You were lucky to get to see them that last time.. I live a half hour from Detroit..but I didn't know they were playing here..Weird..But. watching the video of the last show here makes me really sad...He was slowed down...Shame getting killed the way he did...He was such a nice person..sweet guy..He had the best voice!!!! I hope you're happy where ever you are Chris..

Kansas City! I drove three hours for that show, and god did they deliver. I saw them in Chicago back in 2011, and while they were good then, the Starlight Theater performance was amazing - they were so tight, and Chris was at the top of his game, especially during Incessant Mace. I couldn't believe he passed away just a few days later. I'm still hoping a bootleg surfaces at some point - it was such a great show.

So he's afraid he'll suffer his father's fate Two sets of silverware, cups and plates Two bloody hands and bleeding hearts yeah But don't feel it's not too late to start Only the photographs on your wall Are chained and down your hall Reminding you of all the days When you collected hell to pay Well hell to pay I said it's not too late Not it's not too late, yeah Incessant mace Incessant mace Oh God I can see it, you know it's incessant mace Uh yeah yeah Magazine stacks and broken backs Are what you get for piling stacks Beneath your treasure chest? You wonder why you're under stress You're under stress I said, no it's not too late, no, not too late Yeah it's not too late Incessant mace Incessant mace oh yeah Incessant mace Incessant mace yeah Oh God I can see it, you know it's incessant , mace, mace

And the Zeppelin is even stronger. "Dazed and confused for so long it's not true, wanted a woman never bargained for you..." Soundgarden almost owes them royalties.

Only Soundgarden can make a 6+ minute song that uses one riff and have it not be repetitive.

Well they're partially doom metal; every good doom metal band repeats a riff and makes it sound fresh.

Its incredible that something this visceral and bluesy came out of 1988, the same year that the top 100 songs were saturated in glam bands and pop metal. How the heck did pop culture ignore Soundgarden for three years!

I just love how dynamic the space between the vocals and the instruments is. DYNAMIC! MELODIC! RHYTHMIC! Not to say that 'all music today is crap', but it's certainly different.

Soundgarden and AIC are the only true bands worth listening to from the grunge era. Of course I still hold Nirvana and PJ close to my heart, but I'd be ok if I could never listen to them again. If I could never listen to Soundgarden or AIC again, I'd probably lose my mind lol.

They are not, and exactly do not, sound like Dazed and Confused. From a musical theory standpoint, they intervals are literally different. They both have chromatic tendencies, and subversive blues-pentatonics, though.
