This was the only time i saw Soundgarden. I was 15. And everything lay in the future. Now I'm 40, Chris is gone and everything sucks. Ok. Bye. 😵

One of the best Black Hole Sun renditions I've ever heard. I also remember seeing this with clip of Waiting For the Sun used instead. I met Toby Aimes in Camden High Steet in the late 90s, acted like he was way too cool for school.

He was drunk, and I disagree.

The equipment is much closer to studio in 95 i assume. They recorded black hole sun in 93? I've never heard that sound so flangey they usually always play it on a clean channel or acoustically .

is that simon amstell interviewing them?
@MrPro107 жыл бұрын
danspare Haha no, it does sound like Simon but it's not, it's Toby Aimes I believe. Simon Amstell would have been at school or at least too young to be abusing pop stars

i feel like both of maynard james keenan's bands, tool and a perfect circle are good rock bands (love that Kim is wearing a tool shirt here). imo the most important thing in a band is honesty. SG def had that. ur definitely right in saying that Cornell's vocal performances haven't been as good since the SG days.

i don't know chris or anything, so i can't say anything for sure, but i think he regrets what happend with soundgarden. they must have felt really weird about their success because they were grunge and success wasn't anti-grunge. if i had to guess, i'd say that's why chris is embracing his success because soundgarden's inability to do that caused them to break up. but again, i'm only speculating.

Read somewhere that Chris was drunk for the most part of touring in 95, kinda shows on the live footage. It could be just me but the song sounded off and his singing was definitelly not on point
