Backstage for ‘92 show in Minneapolis. Eddie gave me a beer and had Hagen Daz with Al Jorgensen. Tripping my balls off. Best Day Ever 😎

Look at that crowd! Thats how its done. You don't see that anymore

Nope! You're spot on Tony! Now, a bunch of poorly educated, sissy-ass, "too-much-money-having" children just focus their damn cell phones at bands during great shows....sad and mother fucking pitiful!!

@@wangson I’d rather relive the moment again tbh.

@@wangson Actually, this was the beginning of the end. I was at that show, in the pit. This was the year the RHCP were breaking big on MTV and it brought out a bunch of the kids you're describing, sans cell phones. Before the show started, these kids were actually laying down blankets and towels in the pit zone like they were going to have a picnic and watch a nice show, and they weren't going to miss out on front row viewing. Lush was the opener, a decidedly unheavy act. When they started their sound check, however, everyone pushed forward and created THAT pit. It was on grass and it had rained the night before so it turned to mud in a hurry. Those kids had no idea WTF to do in the face of that wall of humanity. Screaming, crying, panicking galore. I missed a lot of that first set because myself and the other bigger dudes were occupied picking up the screamers and throwing them on top of the crowd so they could get passed out of the pit zone. After that, it was still a brutal pit. There was a 6-8" pipe running from the stage to the sound tower that went right down the middle of the pit (dumb as shit). You couldn't see it so people were constantly tripping over it or stepping and sliding off of it due to the mud. You had to know how to breathe steam because that's all there was to breathe down in there. Ahhhh, good times.

I was in that crowd right up front...wow is all I can say! I vividly remember getting hit in the head by a flying shoe.

I’ll never forget meeting Chris at Lollapalooza in NJ. That pit was crazy. Memories!

@FullMetalAngelREBORN Tom Morello was on That Metal Show a few weeks ago, and apparently he and Chris are on good terms now; he even said they text one another. I always figured a reunion would be impossible, and picture Timmy C punching Chris in the face or something, haha. And I read an interview or something with Chris recently where he said that the issues he had with Audioslave were his fault, and they could have been resolved. So, anything is possible!
