found this in the archive...the "directors cut" which was later shortened to about 4 minutes....brings back some great memories...proof that jason everman was actually in SG and that the world of music and the music business was alive!

Damn, Chris's advanced sarcasm is one of the main things I'm really gonna miss. It seemed like at least 40% of what came out of his mouth you could never really be certain if he was being serious about or not.

SG was already world famous 1989. I was living in Estonia, which was a part of Soviet Union those days and I heard SG from state radio station and not only one time. It was amazing, it was special, it was totally different. The term grunge appeared about 1,5 years later and NOT about Nirvana (which exploded later), it was about Soundgarden.

@PGROSYE02 which proved to be more appealing with the mainstream audience and, let´s face it, more marketable by MTV and media, for better and worse. Soundgarden were always more metal and psychedelic-sounding, with a more experimental edge to their songs than Nirvana. They were a tougher act to "sell". more of an acquired taste. Ironically, they got bigger after Nevermind´s success, especially after "Superunknown", which went straigh to nº1 in the charts.
