...and to know that both *'BLACK RAIN'* and *'COLD BITCH'* were either partially or fully recorded during the 'Badmotorfinger' sessions (then separately released, included in the outtakes - "Super Deluxe" set, etc.). Imagine how over the top the original/indelible 1991 album release would have been if 'Black Rain' and 'Cold Bitch' had been part of the already great tracklisting! Even better for certain...🎸⚡🗣🎶🎙🥁⚡🎸

Badmotorfinger will always be my favorite Soundgarden album. Superunknown might have their biggest hits and is their most diverse album, but BDM is way more consistent and technical. The music press and critics at the time were blind by Ten and Nevermind, and thats why BDM didnt get the attention those 2 had.
@dowens37813 жыл бұрын
Who cares about technical - it's dark and heavy as hell and has massive grooves and insane vocals. And the abbreviated title would be be BMF, not BDM.

Thank you so much for putting this up. It's so hard to find things like this. Most bands are over explained. Soundgarden is not. Grunge is so underappreciated for what it was,and not studied. Music from different bands that sounded nothing like each other but shared a common name.
@coryc02136 жыл бұрын
Bob Black yes!
@callofthewintermoon916 жыл бұрын
Bob Black , I agree with you. Just one more point to mention. Even though these bands as far as style sounded nothing alike they did share something that was the same. Most of these bands were recorded by Subpop or by Jack Endino. So, the recording equipment , recording technique and acoustics etc. we're the exact same. In the beginning of these recording studios, well they didn't have alot of money so they tended to generate alot of the same overall recording quality that each band shared. The SEATTLE SOUND.
@somedaysometime6 жыл бұрын

People used to have such an ability to just talk about stuff in detail. The way they are just calmly talking and explaining. I never see that any more. It’s actually very rare to find people who can just discuss something in depth in a normal way.

Anderson Wallace layne Staley actually
@andersonwallace19086 жыл бұрын
BassistAar in fact, Layne comes next. But Cornell has as much technique as Layne, and still has a greater variety, so I say that Chris is the best ... Although he understands that many opt for Layne, after all are two geniuses and certainly the biggest vocals of the scene.
@MrLoudLove6 жыл бұрын
Layne was amazing, but couldn't touch Chris. Vocally or musically.

I dont think so @BassistAar . Layne was good , but nothing can be compared to Chris , he was a fucking monster on stage , and making songs.
@deadstar446 жыл бұрын
Jesus Christ, the Layne Staley fanboys are so annoying. They creep on every Chris Cornell's vids comments section trying to bring him down. I like the guy, he was great at what he did, he had his lane but Cornell was on a whole another level as a singer/songwriter, he exploded the lanes.
