Awesome video. Don't always let everything that inspires you distract you. I have to remind myself just to enjoy different styles not having to learn/practice everything about it. This player has probably spent 10+ years in their own field.

I like your music & guitar philosophy. Music should always be the sound, the feeling that resonates with our emotions, our soul. I think holding the guitar with PASSION and LOVE (NOT to show off or to fulfill any kind of “musts”) then we could do our best.

Thank you. Many resonated with me and those that didn't, I plan on implementing them either physically or conceptually.

Really impressed with the way you teach - have shared your channel with a number of friends who are both novice and experienced players. Almost Zenful in your approach, which I really like. Happy Thanksgiving. ~ Mark

Cool video. Some good tips there for a beginner. I find talking about philosophy and approach much more beneficial than someone saying learn this lick. If a teacher can gives you some stuff to consider, it forces you to try new things and push yourself, rather than learn these 5 licks and sound the same as everyone else!

First many thx for your valuable insights. Went through some of the scales you did in your 23 scales video. Love the sound of Phrygian with dominant pentatonic. Then started adding some diminished arpeggios. Any chance you would do a video on some 2-5-1 progressions /licks/lines, using these scales together? I am a big Yusuf Lateef fan! Guess is the more arabic tonality I like.

Nice encouragement. I ordered an electric guitar and working on a list of what I want to learn for now... knowing it relates to what I currently understand. ... I asm sending this link to others.. pb

#4 is a big deal. I hate hearing teachers say to LEARN with a metronome.
