Well, I do disagree. I don't hear Mel's voice, on any solo parts here, although they are the same NOTES that Mel sang on the recording. It's possible that Mel sang on the harmony sections, particularly the BASS parts, (yes, you heard right - Mel sang Bass at times) that Mel sang with the group. I'm not sure who the "mystery" singer is, singing onscreen (dark hair) with the group, though...

That's not Mel Torme in the picture but it is Torme actually singing.

That's not actually Mel Torme singing, but Bernie Parke. VERY close to a Mel-voice, though! Also check out Les Baxter in the group, and Ginny O'Connor, who eventually married Henry Mancini....
