Soundman might as well become the metra of tablets. I can see a company that makes dash kits coming out with tablet pans really soon. I hope doug releases a few android solutions including the nexus 7, galaxy tab 3... 7 and 8 sizes, etc...

i see this also but, the problem is they change and very in size every year and consumers rush to get the next new best thing, which causes confusion to the customer as to which parts will fit which tablet generation along with a non compatible / upgradable dash for the customer if the unit gets lost / stolen / broken / upgraded ... just my 2 cents

True, however i'm still on the fence about the tablet as the ultimate solution at this point but only because if you want it to fully perform it needs a data connection ( cell or wifi ) has limited storage space, is a pain for a/v in/out ( multi-source w/ zones) and oem vehicle integration ( swic's, back up cams, etc )

I've got your confusing, hard to use package right here, pal! In all seriousness, how would you rank these processors in terms of what they can do and how easy it is to make them do it ? Bit Ten, Clean Sweep, Kicker Front Row, Rockford 360.3, and pick the Audio Control unit you like best, say, the LCQ-1. Right now, I am leaning towards the 360.3, because, as far as I can tell, it is the only unit that uses a software based user interface with all of the adjustments and the subsequent results of those adjustments represented graphically, as opposed to using led lights on the unit to guide your tuning inputs.

***** i was looking at the DQ61 too. I have an EQS in one of my cars and I really like the sound quality. I do not have a lot of experience with Mosconi equipment. I get the impression that their stuff is along the lines of Focal, Hertz, and Audison, as far as the quality and prices of their products. The Rockford looks to me to have the most user friendly UI and is the least expensive (By quite a bit, I imagine), but I wonder if the SQ will be as good as the others. As someone who I am sure has listened to systems utilizing all of those processors, would you say the 360 holds it's own in the musicality department, compared to the Audison,or the Mosconi?

I disagree.I do a fair bit of coding for home automation devices (python, Bash mostly), aka software "engineering" you could say. Its my experience that its in fact FAR easier to use my mac for code building on the command line. It's easier to connect via SSH to headless devices such as single board comuters used for home automation. I deal with FAR less compatibility issues; There are (from my experience: superior apps; including disk utility which makes window's partition tool look like a joke or a beta or some shit, as well not being able to recognize MANY hard drives such as Apple Journaled etc. So explain, if you would (barring price, why an engineer would avoid using a mac..... PS. i paid 200 for my 2012 macbook pro, slightly damaged; added a sata 3.0 SSD, 12 gigs of ram i had already and BOOM its now faster than other 200 dollar laptop of the caliber. I know this is a rant but it just fascinates me when people take sides. I LOVE both Mac and PC..... because.... why wouldn't you? Did Mac touch you in a "no no place" or sumn? 😂
