The door popper gets power and it pulls one way to open the latch. After a few times being used or if water gets in there it can get stuck in the "open" position making it not possible to close the door. A spring that pulls the rod or cable back the other way is highly suggested!!!! It's not if but when it will happen!!

Ive owned several of these vans back in the day to haul my 6 brats around. It seems every one of them had shitty sliding door problems. I found the arms that connect to the van get loose, and or they needed the tracks cleaned and lubed. This might help your popper open it better. Cant wait to see this completed in 2022. Lol

You can cut down regular hacksaw blades to 3”-4”. They fit the air saw good. You just can’t make tight bends, but straight cuts are not a problem.

You should put all your crossovers in that spot that you cut out on your sliding door. I'm sure you could rig something up to make it look really good. I don't think I've ever seen anything custom done on a van sliding door like that before.

Doug, I know the door is working now, but you should cnc a little spacer to put under the plunger. Simular to the bushings on the TBird hydros. Give it another 1/8th inch push.

Hey bud buy hacksaw blades and cut them in half. You can use the original hole on each half to secure it into your air saw. #1 much cheaper and #2 more availability.

I once put a actuator for trunk release in my old k-car!! I put the button behind my license plate!! Yeeeehawwww!!! To be fair, the car had to be on for the button to work. I also put 6x9’s in the c pillars. Holy crap did I do some stupid stuff when I was young....ok, also nowadays.

Ohh man, just buy hacksaw blades. Cut them down with tin snips, then shape the back of them with a bench grinder. It's so much less expensive and you always have blades available.
