Thanks for making this comparison video. Both companies make great products but in this case, I had little trouble siding with the nRoads by SoundOff Signal. In my opinion, the winner. I'd love to see more comparison videos like this, and I appreciate how you let the viewer decide.

We agree, both companies make great products but the fact that Whelen doesn't even offer a dual color beacon right now, or a Tri-Color beacon...not to mention we're sure the price point would likely be much higher, means their missing out...

Great Video. I can't wait to be able to upfit my pilot car with SoundOff Signal low dome beacons.

Indeed an impressive display from the nRoads, but I still think that the 9 LED version is where it’s at for a single-color beacon or lighthead.

Tri-State Public Safety so if I outfitted my beacon with the 12. LED option would that be a night a day difference in brightness????

Whelen micro liberties beat both beacons by a long shot. CT DOT uses them on their plow trucks. Very very bright. You can see them from a very far distance away.

You are comparing a micro light bar to a beacon so the argument really isn't valid. SoundOff Signal has a small bar but I don't believe it's small enough to be compared to the micro series from Whelen. As far as functionality goes the NRoads Beacon can be capable of much more than the Whelen Liberty or Freedom Micro lights and you will spend significantly less money for a light with many more functions. Having the capability of doing steady burn safety lights (Cruise mode) or in a dual color having the clear Flood mode for roadside operations at night at a fraction of the cost of the Whelen it would be foolish not to go with SoundOff. I use two Tri Color Beacons Red Amber Clear. Red clear for daytime fire response Red for Night time fire response and Amber for plowing and Towing. I also use the Tri color MPower surface mounts in the same configuration.
