This song almost perfectly fits in with a series of homebrew D&D campaigns that our 8 person group have gone through, and with one character in particular forwarding technological progress and forsaking the gods, and eventually going on to wage an interplanetary war with the armies of those gods and their avatars. Thus proving not only that they were greedy, lying, cowards, but that the rules they're supposed to exist by are also broken by them regularly. This current campaign is set in the aftermath of that great war, and explores D&D without the presence of the gods or planes. Definitely adding this to one of the playlists I've made, wonderful work

Well the legend of the hunter is literally about a human who was cursed with immortality going on a blood path of revenge to kill Eldritch Gods and the Evil they spawn. So you are already listening to something like that. This is the sort of song I'd expect to hear too when it came to a legend of a hero watching those she wishes so desperately to save still dying as she struggles to make it to the top of that evil tower, desperate for revenge and to save those still screaming and wallowing in pain and rivers of blood down below. A song fitting of such a struggle.

At the end of all things the hero knew this was a one-way trip. With all the pieces in play now is the time to strike. With the heroes of the people struck down by betrayal during the middle of the night by fire and flame, the people lost all hope. But then came sunrise. When the enforcers flooded the streets and took all of the elders to be executed in the river, that hopelessness was transformed into rage. The people rioted, they rebelled. They threw their bodies upon the cogs of the machine as the blood soaked streets of the city were continuously sprayed with the crimson of Martyrs from the scaffolding above. And in that chaos The shield that was protecting both the city from the bleeding Sun and the ascended from the god hunters wrath, came crashing down. And with it came the power source for the ziggurat's anti air turrets. She placed her right hand on the acceleration control of the gunship they so aptly named "The Reckoning", and looked back to her compatriots. "Are you ready for this?" she asked. "I am.." the monk replied. "As ready as anyone will ever be on a suicide mission" joked the archer as she tied up her hair in a low ponytail. "Then let this be the last flight of the stargazers.." said the immortal angel's child that's the gunship accelerated forward and gained elevation. She smiled inwardly as they all quickly came to realize that not every anti-air turret was powered down. It wasn't too long before one of the rare engines was struck and operating below 50% efficiency. But it didn't matter. Because they all knew that if humanity was to survive they would have to reach the garage. Even if they had to ram the Reckoning straight to the front door.
