I understand that the articulation switching is still under development, but I would like to see it implemented with keyswitches and changes using all the velocity and modulation.

You are correct in two ways. First of all keyswitches are coming, but to your second point we are also making them completely assignable to whatever CC you want. I personally think its a mistake having them cover the keys, especially in Soundpaint where we have samples on every single key. Either way - customize it how you want. Choice is yours. 100% agree. It's frustrating to have pay $300 for Kontakt...to have the privilege of buying the VST's to add to Kontakt. So happy I found Soundpaint. Just bought the flute yesterday and it's gorgeous. Next up: Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Flute, Bassoon. 🙂

I just found out about you through Facebook. I downloaded the player and the Steinway piano. I have a ton of different piano samples, but in the small amount of time I had to try yours it sounds like it may be my go to going forward. I play mostly acoustic stuff, folk, American, that sort of thing, so a lot of what you have wouldn't fit my style, but I will be buying the alto flute and the Terz guitar tomorrow. Guitar is my main instrument (I'm very basic on keys) but arthritis has stripped my ability to finger pick any more and I've been looking, to no avail, for a realistic sounding instrument and thought I'd never find it until I found this sample pack. I hope someday you might sample a Martin dreadnought that sounds just as realistic as mine. It looks to me like you're giving Pianobook a run for their money, so good on ya! I look forward to seeing what you have to offer in the future.

Thank you so much for finding us! We will indeed be covering the Dreadnought. One thing Soundpaint does really well is finger picking, since we get 127 discrete velocity layers and it gives a similar feel on the keys as you would get on the finger picked guitar in terms of expression. So what you may “feel” on the piano in terms of playability - will be similar to that of the guitar. 🥂

Trying to work out how to create a patch where you can keyswitch between articulations? Legato into some trills, into some staccato then some bends. It seems you can only choose one at a time, or all playing at once?
