Im looking into these.. but 9 inches tall is a bit high for me. 6" would be good and that would be ear level at the tweeter
@chadwin6 жыл бұрын
I would say that’s pretty close to work. Maybe consider raising your chair a bit or lowering your desk a little if it’s adjustable. You’ll get good sound even if it’s off a tiny bit.

Nice video. Hi. I have Yamaha HS7's Monitors. What stand do I need to get? These monitors are a little on a heavier side. And they are 8"x10"x13" Ideally I would love them 9" up from the desk. So that the bottom of the speaker would be 9" off. Do you make something like that? SOUNDRISE PRO-9 9" Studio Monitor Stands Black will work?

I have a pair of HS8 and plan on using these with them. On the mfg website they have a blog post where other people are saying they fit fine, so your HS7 ought to fit fine as well

@@hadlock Yeah. I got HS7's and they fit pretty good.

I am getting tired of using headphones. They run to my scarlet 2i2 which connects to my iMac but after three days or so of using them they start making a hissing sound when I put them on and I have to disconnect the power to the 2i2 in order to get rid of it. I’ve been thinking about getting speakers this seems like a must-have if I do get them.
@chadwin6 жыл бұрын
Marcos Rocha that’s interesting man. I wonder why your headphones do that? I hear the Scarlett interface is nice! Yeah, I’d say having both options is really nice. I alternate during my edits all of the time. And these stands are seriously dope! So clean.

That’s a 2013 27” iMac that I no longer have. I have a 24” M1 iMac now since that one got old

It's a metal bracket with a hole in it
@MikaelPorttila4 жыл бұрын
Why didn't they put the hole closer to the bottom of the stand so you don't need to see the cables 🤔
@chadwin4 жыл бұрын
Mikael that’s actually a great suggestion! It would be nice to have the whole at the bottoms instead. I think it’s probably that way to make the stands look symmetrical
@syn7073 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, the stands are not adjustable.

I ordered a pair and the stands are way to tall since the tweeter will end up at the top of your computer screen. Meaning that in order to have the speakers at ear level you will need to look down to view your monitor which can cause strain on your neck (eye level should be half way your monitor to avoid looking down as if your holding a laptop) . I retured them after my neck started to feel sore, sorry but I think it is irresponsible for you to recommend a product that can cause posture problems when set up as shown. I reccomend anyone who does buy them to go ahead and buy a stand for your monitor as well in order to level them equally or just buy a good foam pad and make things much easier and cheaper.

I'm sorry to hear you had a poor experience with them, mine has been great though! But, I edit on a 27" iMac so my screen is naturally tall and at the height of my speakers on stands. It's up to you alone to make your desk setup as ergonomic as possible to avoid injuries. I recommend getting a cheap monitor riser, you could also raise your chair or lower your desk. I've done a lot of custom things to make mine fit well for me and my work style.
