Sounds of a Male Bobwhite in Texas

This video shows what a male bobwhite bird sounds like. This bobwhite was in a nearby tree and was being very loud. So, I went out to watch him and take photos and film videos of him. I started whistling back to him and he would watch me when I whistled and then he would whistle back to me. We had a long whistling conversation back and forth. He never got scared and never flew off. I guess he was doing his mating call to attract a female bobwhite, but no females ever showed up.
