Tree frogs are a real treat to have around. I work night shift and I really enjoy waking up to they're songs

I'd love to be able to listen to these animals in person. Bet it's a brilliant way to relax. Just lay back during the evening out on the porch and rest your eyes, listening to the frogs. Perhaps with a mosquito net around the porch if you're really, really not a fan of insects.

Nice thing about the Pacific Tree Frog mating season is that it takes place earlier in the spring when mosquitos are not an issue, so go outside and bundle up against the evening chill and enjoy that froggy choir.

The true sound of spring along the West Coast - up here on Vancouver Island on the Saanich Peninsula, the little frogs have started their romantic chorus on the first warm night in early March 2014.

Even earlier up here in Comox Valley They have started Feb 27th, 2020 which is from one to two weeks early. I wonder if this is this a 5 year trend in warming showing up?

@@gragor11 Last year here in northern Delaware, we had a really cool April through mid May, including late frosts. So it wasn't at all a good year for the local toads, who'd normally be filling the 2 new retention ponds with eggs and tadpoles. As a result, there were very few toadlets showing up in our yard this past early summer.

You can hear them in California, Oregon, and Washington.

Frogs started croaking last night. Early this year for here. Traditionally they start up from one to two weeks from now in March. Nice to hear them peeping and can hardly wait to see the look on the face of the hearing enhanced one year old when he figures out there is something going on.

I love this! And was wondering if anyone has found a longer version of the Pacific tree frogs...maybe an hour or many hours :) crossing my fingers 1.25 minutes is way too short :)
