Hello helen i m Philip from Greece 31 years old.Since i was a boy when i heard sounds like page turnings,typing,chess board playing,whispering and others it helped me relax almost fall asleep,its only a few months that i found out other people have the same effect and its called ASMR.So i watched some videos on the internet and yours are in my opinion the best.I always thought that there are specific people who have the touch to make the sounds have the effect they have on me.Guess you are one of them,the way you do things on your videos is very relaxing.I ve seen many of your videos and i have to say that i also find you a very interesting person.I ve seen you do so many different things that i ve come to the position of admiring you.i think you must be a wonderfull person :) Sorry if i made some mistakes on my english i tried to explain what i think the best way i could.Keep up the great job i ll be watching your videos! Bye :)

Hello Philip, thank you for leaving such a nice comment on my video. I remember when I first learnt about a name for these feelings too! It was a bit like the lid of the world was lifted off :) Now there is such a treasure trove of great ASMR content on the Internet - something for everyone! I'm just honoured that you like my channel, that means a lot to me. Thank you for watching my videos, and hope you continue to enjoy them. Best, Helen :) (p.s. Your English is superb)

I am always amazed at how crisp and clear the audio is in your videos. Thank you I needed this! You were the first ASMR content creator I ever subbed to after a year or two of just searching for "silent unboxing" videos and Bob Ross episodes. I get super excited when I see new videos from you!
@SOUNDsculptures9 жыл бұрын
Hi Marc! Thanks so much, that was a really encouraging thing to hear. I wonder if Bob Ross could have ever envisaged what he was helping to create!

***** I am sure deep down he had an idea. I always felt like he was in tune with a higher state of being. No other artist could paint the same basic landscapes for 11 years like he did and still be popular like he was. So I am sure he was on to something and he would be proud of this community. "So from all of us here, I'd like to wish you happy painting, and God bless, my friend."
@SOUNDsculptures9 жыл бұрын
Yes, he was definitely on to something! He had a great marketing ability as well that was progressive for the time but he managed to seem effortless. I guess that's what comes from being just such a nice guy.

bit of a long time viewer and your videos are amazing. loved your recent one the DIY Cocoa Butter Body Bar, would be awesome to see more. Always brightens the day/night seeing an upload from you an ASMR artist that's been a go to since i stumbled upon ASMR. ☺ 😇

@SOUNDsculptures9 жыл бұрын
Hi Declan, thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The setup varies, depending what type of thing I'm recording. For this I used a zoom recorder and a mixture of Audacity and Sony Vegas to process both sound and video. Hope that helps! Helen.

Does this printing of the limbourg brothers book of hours not include the calendar? If so that's disappointing...😓
@SOUNDsculptures5 жыл бұрын
Vanilla_Vortex It cannot include the calendar, because it is not part of the book of hours. One day I hope that the calendar pieces can be found. In one book, they’re gorgeous beyond words (did you know that the February calendar is the first western painting to depict snow...)
@vanilla-vortexakavanvorott87955 жыл бұрын
@@SOUNDsculptures yes I had heard that.. they are gorgeous I would love to be able to look at more than a picture though it can't do it justice I'm sure

Why do these type sounds cause that tingly feeling ?
@SOUNDsculptures9 жыл бұрын
Hi! I don't know (and don't think anyone yet knows) exactly *why* the tingles occur. I have heard interviews with medical 'experts' who say this is total rubbish and there is no such thing. Happily, I think we can all agree that this very much IS a thing! I remember when you first started watching my videos and I got the feeling you were perplexed by them! Do you experience ASMR now? That would be very interesting! :)
@waldenbuilder9 жыл бұрын
***** I thought being perplexed is the essence of ASMR ;) ...I had a 'progressive' sociology teacher in school who would turn off the lights, have us put our heads on our desk and with minute detail describe walks through the woods, canyons, beaches, etc...I was a big and bad football player with these tingly feelings in her class ? Your videos remind me of her.
@SOUNDsculptures9 жыл бұрын
I like the sound of her classes, they sound much cooler than the kind of things we had (namely, chairs thrown at our heads! ...not so progressive...) I wonder what that teacher is doing now. Maybe running her own ASMR sanctuary. Now, that does sound appealing... :)

Cool! I like the variety of things you present in your videos. Illuminated manuscripts, plainchant on a music box, Chicago architecture, board games...what could be next?! Are you a student at a university? If so, what do you study? Your interests seem rather eclectic.
@SOUNDsculptures9 жыл бұрын
Hi MrEbertScientist! I'm honoured that you've seen all those, thanks! I'm not at a university. Last year I studied Northern Renaissance art which is how this interest came into being. Generally though, I think I have rather odd and varied interests, but I suppose the plus side of that is that there are a wide variety of videos! I'm a musician, so I suppose that is the subject that I'd have to say I apply myself at the most. Thanks a lot for watching, and commenting. :) Helen
