I love how moody and foreboding this is. Beautiful orchestration they saved for late in the game.

The song really sells the tragedy behind this place and is meaning for the group, while the battle version screams endgame area with all that dramatic and intense melody

They were saving this part for the nibel region. I was wondering why they didnt put in the complete version of the main theme in the grasslands but damn they surprised me.

Same here. It's so meaningful when you think about it, it's the same part of the Main theme that is used when Cloud "heals" in the OG FFVII.

I always found this part of the track in the original game to be so different from the first I wondered why it wasn’t it’s own thing. Considering the random encounters in that game, you probably wouldn’t hear it that often (correct me if I’m wrong) Hearing it here made me love this entire piece of music even more, just wow. FF7 still being one of the strongest and probably my fav video game soundtrack
