This is so cool. Is the webinar still available to watch? Was it recorded? Would similar tips be useful for setting up a DPU (such as engine at one end of the train and another engine at the other end)? When I read about setting up these consists it seems like others recommend turning off BEMF? Is it possible to leave that on? Chris

Do more of these consisting videos, please. I'll check out the December webinar. My Advanced consists have issues with all units making horn and bells sounds when I only want the leader to do so.

Does this work with ESU, TCS, and other decoders as well as having mixed decoders in a consist?

Yes, advanced consisting is not a SoundTraxx specific feature it is just how we recommend you do your consists. You may need to adjust the function mapping on your different brand decoders to make them work well together though.

I use JMRI Engine Driver and I can't get the 2nd engine in the consist to silence the horn and bell.

Isn't that because in ED it is sending the same commands to all units that you have set up in the consist in ED? What George is showing here is a short example of setting up Advance Consists that is in just about every decoder out there using CVs 19-21.

If you set up your consist using your decoder's advanced consisting features, you can select and choose which locomotives respond to each function command (such as horn and bell). For more info watch the webinar on December 12th.
