Something I think you missed in the last song, in the second verse, when she’s talking about that girl who raised her brothers, she also mentions that the girl’s family couldn’t accept who she loved. Basically, the girl was LGBTQ.
@Luscent3 жыл бұрын
Ahh wow thanks for letting me know!! ❤️
@katehakanson3103 жыл бұрын
I would guess that that verse probably is meant to be about an LGBTQ person but just to put the thought out there, you could still have disapproving parents when you and your partner are straight.
@tonyburton_3 жыл бұрын
And to add on to this, nothing has been confirmed publicly but there has been moments where Joshua Basset, her ex-boyfriend (that inspired the album), has made comments suggesting he may not be exactly straight, but rather elsewhere on the spectrum of sexuality. When I learned this and re-listened to the album, it made total sense that hope ur ok was the last song. She still loves him, even if he chooses to love someone else. It reminded me of what happened when I came out to my last ex-girlfriend.
@bebdaumon39483 жыл бұрын
there's more too it. I wrote all her lyrics. The end I told her to record her talking to dan and be like the whole album is wrong and we need to do it over again. He goes you're right let's start over. It's muffled deliberately so you cannot hear it clearly. You have to turn up your speakers to listen to it. I like to put in easter eggs in the songs. I wrote all 11 songs and also gave visual design ideas to her music video. The 11th song is the closing song. It's a mix of real world experience I had and knew of people. It's a mental health song and it's just sending a message since the album I designed each song so you go thru the emotions at the end it 's the song to let people that listen to the album know that you will be ok keep going chime on. It's a message to people that are going thru crap in life. It could be a heart break or having a bad day or bad luck. It's saying you will be ok just need to address the issues in your life and understand analyze them . The lyric address the holes in your butterfly wings is a metaphor about needing to address the issues in your life and fix them. I then goes on to pretty much say keep going... you be ok and that we love you meaning you're not alone and everyone goes thru the same issues or at least similar. she passed out the letters at the brit award saying there's little time we don't live forever so you should check up on not just love ones but be there for others that or not in a good mental mindstate meaning we need to be more of a community instead of tearing down others we need to be the positive ones for others. If you look at the brutal music video. I had the design where the intro in the belle scene she is crying her tears are going downwards. This is symbolic to the meaning we are tearing her down in this song. At the end where she goes god don't know where to start the tears are going upwards. It's to symbolically say the album is about us tearing her up in otherwords fixing her up putting the pieces back together to make her whole again. I wrote the lyrics and gave most of the ideas for the music videos. I didn't get paid or got the credit. I was a fan of hers. since bizaarvarr on disney channel. I recently looked her up because of the Icary reboot. I read the article a year 2020 about it. I then started to look things up on olviia and thought by know she would have a record album. I got upset because there were a lot of articles claiming her career is going down hill and she wasn't getting much offers. So, I wrote the songs and tweeted them to olivia told her here's the grammy worthy lyrics and told her you have to do your part and told her if you're not having fun making music and don't bother doing it. I then tweeted at Dan to help her get signed with the record label on one condition that they will allow olivia to do whatever she wanted on the song. I told olivia I don't need money for fame. I told her just when she gets the grammy that by then you can tell everyone the truth and let the know I wrote he lyrics and then you can backtrack and credit me for the lyrics and visual designs of the music video. I even gave some advice on how the music should sound like the robotic hydrolic sound effect you get in deja vu. In drives license I said as you progress needs to sound like a choo choo train that is tracking traction as the song progresses. I also wrote the lyrics for corpse husband on youtube to this songs and also bella throne and eminem's tone deft and I wrote those lyrics while I had an ear infection. I also wrote the scripts for rick and morty season 5 and even a few songs for them. here's the other works I written but be warned more adult language is sued.: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXTGaKyKpbd6mas kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4SZkouumbFpg5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3SckHmvp5d6g8k kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIjTanump5t_f8U kzbin.info/www/bejne/pISlinywlt2coK8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/p53Ie6Owd5mkbaM kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYjdfZeVat9onpI kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJKQiXapa7F7d68 ---> 𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘤 kzbin.info/www/bejne/kH6ZdZ2uqMyVlc0 ->> this is rick and morty song I wrote about olivia. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fH2qdHqZbNh0i9k kzbin.info/www/bejne/npipYnt_lNCKbNU I wrote the lyrics and gave visual design ideas and ideas for the scene of the music videos. currently working on a song with corpse called remove the bitterness it's about the Olivia's sour album from a male perspective. here's a sneak peak of the song and the full lyrics are in my discussion area on my channel. This time around I am asking these people to just give me credit most that I tell think I am lying or a scammer which isn't true. It's a nice album. A little simple in lyric and melody, and she mines the same themes in almost every song, but it's clear she's talented. (It's also clear who's influenced her.) Sweet voice, but not syrupy, a little bit of an edge, and she's not afraid to yell. I guess the thing that I most appreciate about the album is the fact that it's absolutely, positively, entirely not 'urban-influenced'...which means it's different from almost all current material released by female singer-songwriters. Hallelujah. (I'll confess that the youthful spirit that runs through her music reminded me of this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHS3foecocioq8k N.B. I'm not saying she _sounds_ like her. Just that I was reminded of Melanie, if only for the whimsy.)

@probitionate3 жыл бұрын
@@Luscent So I'm going to adjust my opinion a little. Since making my comment, I've listened to the album three times. There's a maturity, an assuredness, a confidence about her that belies her age, her storytelling perspective (experience). I think my rating for the album might have been higher had she been able to venture out into other lyrical settings; guess that's something to look forward to. But I give her credit for not just being influenced by artists like Taylor or Billie or Ms Martinez, but also the pop stars of the 70s...before everything went digital.

@@Luscent People reference Taylor all the time, but if you want to get a peek at the sort of songsmith and entertainer she has the potential to become, think Sara Bareilles. Such a great video. If you take recommendations, I would like to see your reaction to the korean boysband group, Bts They literally released their new music "Butter" and already broke many records. If you dont mind, you should check them out.

Cool! Yeah I've got BTS on my list the only thing is that I won't understand the lyrics 😅

@@Luscent well it's not a problem, because Bts always have English subtitles to their international fans in all of their title track's music videos . And in case you want to check out their album's side tracks, you can also find lyrics translations in youtube or in Google made by fans (Sorry for my broken English, I'm not very fluent in it still)
