I used to have a S&M PBR and a S&M next generation Holmes frames back in the day. S&M frames have got so expensive £599.99 a frame 😳🤯
@Lee-fn6en9 ай бұрын
In the mid 90s a s&m dirt bike frame was 270 quid, so with inflation it’s not too bad. It’s nearly 30 years ago so my memory may be failing me but I’m sure a standard shorty/lengthy was 440 frame only!

Atf 24" with a disc? Been looking around and I can't find any with the mounts that are a street-ier geo
@sole__doubt9 ай бұрын
I have a 24" and I wouldnt buy another one. Its cool and all but finding parts for it is a nightmare. Id go with 26 for a cruiser setup if I did it again.
@schlogman9 ай бұрын
@@sole__doubt I just got on a model C it's fun and good for my back without feeling too alien. I'm a bike shop guy so parts aren't an issue I just thought it'd be rad for race and pump tracks without having to build up a dedicated 24" race rig
@sole__doubt9 ай бұрын
@@schlogman Oh yeah I love to ride my Haro 24. Its just when you need parts you dont have anywhere near as much to choose from as with 20 or 26. I didnt realize the disparity until I had a 24 but if you work at a shop then you know this.
@schlogman9 ай бұрын
@@sole__doubt pretty much just need the rims, tyres, forks and frame specified for 24". I mostly run animal parts with some older, lower rise T1 bars but I have been struggling to get rims down here in Aus, hopefully it'll get more popular, it's such a breath of fresh air
@sole__doubt9 ай бұрын
@@schlogman The lack of tires is my main complaint but the rims/wheels too. Mine came with single wall rims and they didnt last long so they werent fun to replace either. I had like 2 sets of wheels to pick from and thats it.

Chris is the king of bmx manufacturing, no doubt, but him and I differ on the disc brakes. they're just not as easy to set up and maintain as he describes.
@brentgardner65309 ай бұрын
Yes they actually are easier then he described in all honesty that's from a guy 42 that rode BMX and built trails into my mid to late 30' until slowing down and finding interests in MTB dh bike Park jump lines and learned about disk breaks and found them much easier and better. My buddy Dan Arney welded mounts to his 20" in the late 90's and most likely had the first disk brake BMX on earth. True story! Van knows who/what I'm talking about! P. S. Absolutely legends nothing but respect to both of you!!!!! Man I haven't seen Chase in two many years.

Dope peddle story... 👌 Did he really help credence? Whats he getting paid 🤔 Should've sold the grip, that was a selfish move. Capital rider i guess. Over the years ive ridden a next gen dirt bike, kris bennet and a btm. Best bikes ever... However, after all these years i personally would like to see some swag in those frames and parts. For instance, the btm cut out is too square, too lame. ✌️
