They turned out great. I used a salad shooter with the frozen butter and keep it in the freezer ready to go when needed. Just measure out by weight.

You can use thinned out plain yogurt if you don't have buttermilk. It works fabulously!

How do you feed your starter?

It really just depends what I’m baking, but I’ll do a 1 1 1 ratio or even 1 2 2 of starter to water and flour. Our starter VIOLA is available for sale if your interested. Etsy.com/shop/HomesteadStarterShop

Not trying to be nitpicky but I found this super hard to follow as there wasn't any directions/measurements in the description box; probably also due to the fact that it's post nap crankiness and my kids were running around - but I couldn't hear your instructions and had to continuously rewind to try to listen to it again. I also couldn't tell if you were using 1/2 lb butter sticks or 1lb sticks but guessed it was probably the former based on the other measurements. Again not trying to be nitpicky - I'm sure the recipe will come out nicely but just a suggestion for future recipe videos :)

Watch the video and take notes. Good grief, it ain’t that hard. Btw, a lot of cooking videos don’t put the recipe in the notes.
