mais franchement en 1930 faire un travelling en quasi plan séquence sonore c'étais pas simple vue le poids des appareils de prise de son de l'époque.

les premiers films sonores sont extrêmement libres et créatifs quant à l'utilisation du son

I just discovered this movie; it's an instant favorite. Music, dancehalls, Paris of the late 1920's, romantic comedy, charm. It's got it all; so glad to see this here. LOVE THIS MOVIE.

Ah, have just seen the film Under the Roofs of Paria. Fell in love with it and its motif theme instantly. Wonderfully evocative of the world of Paris cafe life c.1930. Viva La France!

@patriciaoday That is because it is one of the very early "sound" films and the sound was (sparingly) added afterwards.

It's not the movie but that video. 1931 German (Tobis) early "talkies" technology was way better than current videosharing.. lol..

i think everything was shot in the Pathe film studio in Montreuil (near Paris). The sets creator was Lazare Meerson. Nice, isn't it...

ghbook Yes, you're right, studio design. Great work!
