Most Japanese songs I listened to are closer to poems than songs in other languages. It's probably because sentences used in everyday language don't mostly rhyme, and songwriters have to be creative with their lyrics. Or, you know, insert English words here and there 😂. But seriously, when I turned on subtitles, you can see how good the writing is, words that are nicely put within each other to create a poem that seems only to be sung in Japanese 😊.
This song is still the best thing I have heard come out of Jujutsu Kaisen. And how it was only used for 5 episodes, covering Gojo's & Geto's backstory, makes this song even more significant. Also, Soushi Sakiyama has such a great voice. I could listen to it all day. He is my age and doing amazing things.
