Astonished any rugby lover anywhere, let alone in SA, could NOT be interested in the 6N! It’s a fantastic historic comp, the rugby quality is superb, some brilliant new individual talents are showcased each year, intense rivalries play out each week, so-called minnow teams like Italy grow before our eyes and become not just competitive but winners, new trends crop up each year in the 6N and it gives a preview of what’s coming up for the next June tests or Autumn nations (for Southern Hemisphere teams), to mention a few. As an avid bok supporter based in Aus I reckon the 6N is a must watch; every minute of every game.

The 6 Nations is a brutal tournament because of the pressure on each team to achieve targets. Is France more stressed by the expectation to win a Grand Slam than Wales is to avoid the Wooden Spoon? Does not winning the 6 Nations constitute failure for Ireland? How desperate are Scotland to fulfil their 'golden generation' promise, or England to finally stop the near-misses? Do Italy fear a relapse from their best ever result? The teams have only one shot against their opponents; there are no rematches. Three teams will be disappointed after this weekend, and high hopes can quickly turn to despair. That is why we love it so much!

Scotland with Franco would be much better. Ireland at home to France is a big advantage for them. Curious to see if England flunks out. Curious as to whether you guys think Smith is the England answer at 10.

6-2 split for England,Matt Williams is going to shit in his pants, and whine its against the spirit of the game, its discriminating against backs... poor old soul going to cry if England beat the Irish. I want England to win...
