Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 9 October 2024, we will start today's video with trash along the road towards the Parys landfill site, South Africa, today. The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
Expect some isolated to scattered thunderstorms in the central and eastern interior regions. There's a light drizzle happening along the eastern escarpment in Limpopo and the west coast. There's a thick blanket of fog covering the west coast and some areas of the Western Cape Province. Bergwinds are rapidly heating up areas of the Karoo and Eastern Cape Province. Severe thunderstorms are on the horizon, bringing with them damaging winds, excessive lightning, and hail that could lead to localised damage to both informal and formal housing structures, particularly roofs. Residents in the western regions of KZN Province, as well as the eastern Highveld and escarpment of Mpumalanga Province, should prepare for potential structural damages to homes and carports. Additionally, there may be localised service disruptions and fire incidents due to power surges. Stay safe and stay informed! Be prepared for some serious fire danger in the central and north-eastern regions of the Northern Cape, along with the north-eastern areas of the Western Cape.

Also in this video, we stop at the Old Joe Statue on the Schoemanskloof road, the Hill Equestrian naby Charlo in Port Elizabeth, and we drive down the main road leading towards Simonstown to the festival. Then over to Umhlanga. Train at Simonstown station special run for the Navy festival and we visit Alice in Waterkloof and we then end the video today at the Vergelegen Wine Estate in Somerset West in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.
