Cyril Ramaphosa is set to be re-elected as the President of South Africa as the new National Assembly convenes. After days of discussions and deliberations, the African National Congress will reportedly form a government of national unity in South Africa with support from the Democratic Alliance (DA), the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) and other smaller parties. This comes weeks after a weakened election verdict where the ANC fell short of a majority for the first time in 30 years. 58 MPs from Jacob Zuma's MK Party boycotted the parliament sitting.
