I bet, those White South Africans Dont Feel Like Foreigners... but I do understand what Dr. Blanton is saying... we just need a Place for Us.. where we ain't gotta be Whatching Our Step...

The altitude can be felt in Gauteng , as your Cerebellum tries to balance things . Your do feel your ears blocked , and the dizziness . The air changes as well and breathing can be difficult for some people . Wait until you go to Lesotho which is 3100 metres above sea level.

It's mainly a type of aquatic weed called water hyacinth originally from the Amazon basin and has now spread worldwide. They're managed through physical removal or use of herbicides. It's only a matter of managing it for now and that's what they've been doing as far as I know, they grow back anyway since they're invasive. Excess phosphate, which this weed loves, also contributes. I've also seen this weed on the lake in Benoni as you drive on the N12 towards Boksburg, never used to be there a couple of years ago.
