I'm South African and I'm offended by your presumptuous humor. Yes South Africa is indeed in Africa but its not Africa it's South Africa. I don't think when you were in Ghana you kept referring to it as Africa.

@@AmericanAfrican13 everyone, especially the west, refers to ANY country in Africa as "Africa", which literally strips every other country off its identity. the fact that it's only done to us Africans shows the subtle deroratory nature of it, which i believe stemps from ignorance. if you aren't African then you have no business telling us what to feel, because we experience the repercussions of it, not YOU

I love the gentleman's comment : "Contribute and South Africa will love you back!". As a South African I am thankful that positive news about our country gets out there. And yes, we do have challenges ( as do all countries to be fair), but let's us be part of the solution - the overwhelming majority of South Africans ( any colour) just want to live in harmony and together want to see our Country be a place to raise our children to fulfill their potential, and to be happy and safe. ❤️

As a South African these types of videos really makes me appreciate my country more cause to be honest, most of the time we feel like our government doesn't care about us and that they prioritize foreigners more than us. It gets personal sometimes. I do understand that most foreigners brings real dollars here hence buying a million rand house is a peace of cake. I'm glad they've found their comfort zone But we ordinary South Africans will tell you that to get that level of living is extremely difficult unless you into shady businesses or part of the corrupt government. Fortunately we have our rural areas that we are now developing even though far from towns and cities.

@@sthe_zar6341I hear you and I can relate. I grew up and still live in the US. As the @therealsouthafrica said we as black people here have never felt free. We don't own anything here and it's a constant battle to prove yourself no matter how much you do here. It's never enough no matter how much we fight and protest. I believe Africa is the answer.
@Layla-fr7mf
@Layla-fr7mf 2 жыл бұрын
@@sthe_zar6341 No one blames you for your trauma and PTSD but most of you sadly abuse others especially Africans by expressing your anger and frustration to the innocent yet you leave the people responsible for your demise, poverty and living conditions living in your own land and wealth while they continue to perpetuate the apartheid caste system to keep you at the bottom. You also did not do it on your own. You need to know your history. Almost every African country helped you gain independence from our prayers, making sure you could go into exile in all our countries as our brothers and sisters, giving you education when apartheid wanted to keep you all at the bottom and deny you basic rights and applying pressure on the apartheid government. Mozambique and Angola literally went to war because of saving you and the Boers were no joke when it came to tracking and hunting you down in each African nation just to prove a point that you were their property. Many African nations would hide you away while fighting for your freedom including black Americans who made sure that sanctions were imposed on the apartheid government just for your freedom. Today you have forgotten all of that but you will be reminded and you will seek the help of Africans yet again with the way the country is going. Your own prophet Credo Mutwa told you to unite with Africans before it’s too late in this age of Aquarius. I hope you spread that message of love so that you can get your land and beautiful country back completely in your name besides welcoming visitors and diversity.

My husband and I, our oldest daughter, and her family are planning to move to South Africa. America is too expensive and the quality of life continues to decline. As the wife says for some of us our mental health is challenged because no matter what our education level is, how much we've accomplished, how we live, or what career we have in America we will never be equal and will not be treated with the dignity and respect we should be treated with. So DO NOT come here! Stay where you are!

I've lived in Europe most of my adult life, but I was born and raised in SA. No country in Europe can match it for natural scenery and it's on par with France, Italy, and Spain for quality of cuisine. It's got better weather than all but the sunniest of southern European states and far superior wildlife. That's the good. This is the bad: mass poverty of a kind no one in Europe knows, the worst Gini coefficient on earth (translation: the most unequal nation on earth), and a lot of violent crime. It may be the worst place on earth for women, since it has the highest reported rape rates, and it also has the highest number of HIV patients on earth, thanks in part to the ANC's serial bungling of public health crises.

I used to think that it can't get any better than the Caribbeans for a black person. I have taken 24 trips to there. I wanted to live in Jamaica or Barbados or Trinidad. Loved all of those places. But then I started going to Africa. Wow! Africa is the place to be. I have taken 17 trips to Africa. Been to many countries. I even fell in love and got married to a woman from Ghana. But trust me, nothing and no where compares to South Africa. Its the only place that I felt in awe of the whole time that I was there. Joburg is very nice, but I like Cape Town and Durban more. Only because of the beaches. I am from California. Got to have my beach. When I was there, the Rand was at 10 to 1 for the US Dollar. I saw a commercial on TV there advertising a large pizza for 23 Rand. Hey, that's $2.30 cents for me. But it's not altogether cheap as in other African countries. In my wife's country, Ghana, the average monthly salary there is about $600. Much cheaper. But more of a 3rd world country too. But in South Africa, I honestly saw some places that looked more modern and better than in America. An American will feel at home there, and still be in Africa. And be enjoying all of the South African Culture.

@ Hans Den.. don't look towards creating a "African American" community, but reinstating people to their organic identity... Alkebulan. But u have to be rooted urself. Its to HEAL, not to pertuate isolation in a different location.

That’s the problem with most of you, you are acting exactly like our colonizers not interested in Afrikans but interested in the continent. Your intentions are not good when you are trying to repeat apartheid and segregate. We don’t want that in our continent. The Blantons became part of the community that’s why we embraced them …. They are interested in our culture , it’s the people not our place that makes us .

I'm from South Afrika, lived a few blocks away from that neighborhood, had a similar house to the one in the video 2years ago, but mine had a much bigger yard. I Don't have it anymore, but I am still with the woman I love, still have my 3dogs, & that's all that matters is having the ones you love around you.

@@kofinews8237 my dear all African politicians are greedy it’s like they given birth by one person. In South Africa it’s either we go petition route or always on road marching almost everyday, that’s how we get things done but even though we do tht they’ll find a way to always being corrupt it’s really sad. We voting anc out 2024 they’ll see flames coz they too comfortable those thugs
