Meanwhile, bone dry in the Garden Route. Had about 4mm on Sunday, was the only rain in 4 weeks. People worried about fires.

The Garden Route had MORE than its share of rain this past winter season. This is the first REAL rainy day we've had in Gauteng this season. Our dams are empty and the heat has been unbearable.

You should know that the GR gets rain in the winter. We left with all the newcomers arriving in droves, became terrible to live there.

they're quite relaxed those ostriches. They have a lot of land. Quite accustomed to people too. There's a ostrich farm just next door, too.
