In reply South Africa were all out for 268 in 1st innings.
Gary Kirsten batted really well for his 62 in 1st innings.

West Indies were all out for just 170 runs in 2nd innings.
Shaun Pollock picked up 4 wickets in 2nd innings.
South Africa needed 164 to win in 2nd innings and they reached it by losing 6 wickets.

I remember watching the South Africa v England test series in 1995/96 and Shaun Pollock was a lot faster as a bowler than he is here but I think he became more accurate when he lost that bit of pace and became a better bowler.

Looking at this old time match and seeing Ridley Jacob batting, he is very, very clumsy. He cannot bat at all, I was wondering how he gets game for the wi team. The wi team is struggling a very long time, so I don't see why they are blaming these younger generation at all. The wi team is struggling a very, very long time, so they should stop blaming these younger players. Ok 👌.

@Aton Freckleton I don't know where you got your story from, I know that you are from the country Jacob is from. That is why you are trying to defend Ridley Jacob, but he was no good at all. You are telling me how good Jacob was scoring runs 🏃‍♂️, after Jeff Dujon. He cannot keep or bat good at all, I guessed he made the team about 32years old. I know how you islands people like get hype up over everything, that nobody cannot criticized. The players from eastern Caribbean Islands players them, the majority of them is mideocre.I know when man Michael Findlay is the 1st cricketer to play test cricket, from the islands them and. He was a far better keeper than Jacob, I guessed you were born as yet.

They tried so many wicket keepers after Dujon retired. Courtney Browne, David Williams, Ridley Jacobs and others I’ve forgotten. How do you replace someone of the class of Dujon though?? Australia were lucky in that they had Gilchrist to replace Healy. West Indies weren’t that lucky unfortunately.

@@blairboyd5617 I was the person who once had the username Aton Freckleton. You said Jacob's couldn't bat. But did u know that in the post Dujon era, Jacobs was the WI most prolific wicket keeper batsman for the WI till his retirement in 2004? David Williams, Junior Murray, Courtney Brown were the ones that played a lot after Dujon but they never made much runs for the.WI. Jacobs looked clumsy with the bat no doubt about that but his contributions for the WI with the bat should not be discredited, especially for a man that made his test debut at age 31. I am not from his island so please don't think that is why I supported him.
