Do more zeppelin. Best band ever. Most diverse band ever.

Oh, and to highlight the kind of love for Zeppelin and respect for Zeppelin in 2007 for one night they got together again for a show. Because they split in 1980 after the death of drummer John Bonham, that night his son, Jason and drummer himself, filled in. For a seating of like 20 thousand there were 20 million requests for tickets. The most ever for one show - a record.

To see a very bluesy side of them, try since ive been loving you live from the same show, 1973 song remains the same concert. Then maybe the song remains the same/the rainsong from the same concert to see yet a different side.

I can't remember the first time I heard Stairway. I just know it was always played at parities and every kid in high school in the mid 70s knew the song and it was around like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album. I just grew up with the song from 16 on and still am in love with it and can't get enough in my 60s. It is considered the best rock song of all time. Just like Zeppelin is considered the best rock group of all time. They were made up of GOATs. The best guitarist, best drummer, best bassist and key player, and best vocalist. Many hard rock group fried to follow but, were so lacking because they did not measure up. Most hard rock groups did songs about girls and being on the road. boring. Zeppelin were actual musicians. And their songs went from blues to acoustic to folk to songs about old english folk lore and mystic worlds. Many songs took you on a journey. They had depth. They had little in common with their imitators and pretenders. This band was so far above the standard fare.

For another incredible live Zepplin performance check out "ln My Time of Dying" live at Earl's Court, 1975. It really showcases the talent of all four band members...kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6akc6Soq81_nJI

If you're going to start working though their albums starting from album 1, please don't skip the studio version of Stairway when you get to it. May I recommend that if you're going to react to a live performance that you watch them perform and worry less about the lyrics? Maybe listen to the studio versions of songs first and read the lyrics then, followed by a live performance? Otherwise, you're missing the whole performance vibe. ;) Anyway, really enjoyed your reaction to it. Thanks! Edit: This song is about the folly of trying to find happiness through materialism, i.e., trying to buy one's way to "nirvana", or up the "stairway to heaven". A key phrase in the song is "there's always time to change the road you're on".

@@DoctorZebedee I instantly regretted what I said. There's top much vitriol expressed, on what should be a "safe space" to share opinions and discuss music. Not to humiliate for being born in another time.
