We are working on the next few country videos however literally the DAY after we filmed this, the Venezuela gatherings and Juan Guaidó movements began. After the situation clears up a little bit and more information comes out we would like to do a follow up video explaining the current state of affairs. I will have my Venezuelan friend who has family in Venezuela helping me out as well. Stay tuned!

Aww man Barby, it's too bad that you had to treat Guyana and Suriname as the same country, especially culturally (because ok, granted, physically they're kind of the same). Suriname is way more diverse ethnically, e.g. they have the highest percentage of Indonesians in both South America and the Caribbean. There's more interesting stuff to get into. I won't do that right now. It's just a bummer that you took these countries, which are already relatively unknown, and then crushed the chance to highlight something cool about them.

Pololear is the verb, roughly translated as "being in a relationship". - The pronunciation is Tereré, stressing the third syllable. - Uruguayans speak very similar than Buenos Aires Argentinians. When a Chilean asks "do you want to be my girl/boyfriend?" They don't say "quieres ser mi novia/o?" Like the rest of Spanish people, they say "quieres pololear conmigo?", I would translate it to "do you want us to be in a relationship". So the boy is pololo and the girl is polola. Fun fact, "pololo" is a word from mapudungun, the mapuche language, and it refers to a species of fly, so I guess it was born from mothers to lock the boyfriend of their respective daughters, and it evolved to being used by the whole country, not just the mapuche territories

I laughed out loud (in a good way) with your friends' attempt at a Chilean accent 🤣🤣🤣 in answer to your question about 'pololos' yes we do make a verb out of it; if asking a person if they're dating (as in if they have a girlfriend or a boyfriend) you would ask "estás pololeando (or pololiando)?" or if asking if someone would like to be your girlfriend or boyfriend, you would say "te gustaría pololear (or pololiar) conmigo?" I’d argue you may want to thrown in the Republic of Karelia in Russia as well as Estonia (if you’re including Finland, that is, seeing as Estonia is the little brother of Finland). Also Greenland, perhaps, though they aren’t exactly “Nordic” or “Scandinavian” anymore, given most of their population is indigenous peoples.

Also their food is totally different, they have a Latin version of Roti, are very party full people and are very good in dancing they have amazing rhythm and good musicians for example Ronnie Flex! First of all I'd like to tell you I love your channel and I've been following it since the Iran video, which is about the time I started regularly using KZbin. What a better chance to make a first comment than on a video that features my country, Peru. You did get right the part about the food and tourism, which we've been grinding for years now, since Machu Picchu was elected one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern Era; and since quinoa was served on some royal's wedding some few years ago, respectively. I'd like to point out that, while I finally love seeing Peru in a video of yours, there's not such thing as the "business success" you mentioned. Basically, rich people got way richer, and the poor, while not poorer, stayed at the baseline. A nominal national poverty index of 20% backs this, but I'm sure the real number is larger by a lot, based mostly on what I see on the news and on the street everyday. Such other problemas as an informal unemployment rate of 75%, an anemia prevalence of 45%, and deep cracks and differences regarding the dignity, rights and opportunities for people based on their skin color and social position cripple the economy and social development of the country. Also, Laura Bozzo is some kind of persona non grata ever since she was related to Fujimori's regime and her show being considered an offense against human decency. While she was some big thing during the early 2000s, nobody around here has ever spoken of her ever since. Nevertheless I have really enjoyed my country's minute of fame on your channel and I can't wait until Peru's video, or Nauru's next week, because I really like Nauru. Cheers!

As a Brazilian, I could mention that Uruguay was the only country in South America that didn't get separated from Spain, but from Brazil. Cool video anyway!

Why!!! Why that TV show!!! You know which one. By the way Ecuatorian and Peruvian food is not similar. Really.
@AnImperialGod5 жыл бұрын
They are. I am Ecuadorian. There is actually a dispute about who invented the ceviche, if Ecuador or Peru. Besides, both countries have large access to the Pacific, with the majority or at least more than half of our population living alongside the coast. This is why there are many food disputes between Ecuador and Peru, about who made what. But Peru is more recognized due to its importance in tourism and gastronomy in recent years, which does not mean they invented that kind of food.

9:12 You mentioned Brazil but can't just blow them off because they don't speak Spanish. Everyone already knows about the hispanic countries. Guyana, Suriname, and Guiana are the most important with Brazil
