Love your amazing country, especially Los Lagos in the south, as well as Santiago. Uruguayan here, it's technically an estuary and is larger than what Barb showed in the video. It was historically called a river (Río de la Plata = River of the Silver) and is still legally considered one by our (Argentina and Uruguay) governments because if we admit it's an estuary foreign ships can pretty much do what they please with it, particularly regarding contamination.

Aww man Barby, it's too bad that you had to treat Guyana and Suriname as the same country, especially culturally (because ok, granted, physically they're kind of the same). Suriname is way more diverse ethnically, e.g. they have the highest percentage of Indonesians in both South America and the Caribbean. There's more interesting stuff to get into. Like the rest of Spanish people, they say "quieres pololear conmigo?", I would translate it to "do you want us to be in a relationship". So the boy is pololo and the girl is polola. Fun fact, "pololo" is a word from mapudungun, the mapuche language, and it refers to a species of fly, so I guess it was born from mothers to lock the boyfriend of their respective daughters, and it evolved to being used by the whole country, not just the mapuche territories

Chile is the only country in South America that can be in a week in the mountains with snow and after being on the beach, you can go south and see large green forests with rivers, lakes and mountains or if you want to go further south (Aysen ) It's like being in Alaska. First of all I'd like to tell you I love your channel and I've been following it since the Iran video, which is about the time I started regularly using KZbin. What a better chance to make a first comment than on a video that features my country, Peru. You did get right the part about the food and tourism, which we've been grinding for years now, since Machu Picchu was elected one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern Era; and since quinoa was served on some royal's wedding some few years ago, respectively. I'd like to point out that, while I finally love seeing Peru in a video of yours, there's not such thing as the "business success" you mentioned. Basically, rich people got way richer, and the poor, while not poorer, stayed at the baseline. A nominal national poverty index of 20% backs this, but I'm sure the real number is larger by a lot, based mostly on what I see on the news and on the street everyday. Such other problemas as an informal unemployment rate of 75%, an anemia prevalence of 45%, and deep cracks and differences regarding the dignity, rights and opportunities for people based on their skin color and social position cripple the economy and social development of the country. Also, Laura Bozzo is some kind of persona non grata ever since she was related to Fujimori's regime and her show being considered an offense against human decency. While she was some big thing during the early 2000s, nobody around here has ever spoken of her ever since. Nevertheless I have really enjoyed my country's minute of fame on your channel and I can't wait until Peru's video, or Nauru's next week, because I really like Nauru. Cheers!

They are. I am Ecuadorian. There is actually a dispute about who invented the ceviche, if Ecuador or Peru. Besides, both countries have large access to the Pacific, with the majority or at least more than half of our population living alongside the coast. This is why there are many food disputes between Ecuador and Peru, about who made what. But Peru is more recognized due to its importance in tourism and gastronomy in recent years, which does not mean they invented that kind of food.
