the chilean version is more often called tue tue and its either just a very large bird or also the severed head with ears for wings, you can deter them by walking backwards and screaminfg that theres nothing for him. either way chilean wizards are way scarier because they often enslaved people for eternity and have a series of underground caves and also hunt a bunch of scary monster specially a boar with horn like a rino that creates earthquakes

I'm from Brazil, wich is part of South America And, we have some floclore things wich I feel should be in this thing Like, there's a floclore story of a dolphin that impregnated women during the full moon, which sounds weird, but turns out this floclore story was made so young women who got pregnant could use it as an excuse, cause I guess the indigenous parents prefer to have a daughter who is pregnant because of a dolphin, than a daughter who got pregnant by a member of a rival tribe

I don't want to be rude but as a Brazilian we have so much more popular folclore creatures, like curupira, the headless mule, pink boto, we even have a whole werewolf culture here (different from the European version), that was a missed opportunity to talk about them And I never heard about auñ Pana, and I even question myself if this is even about Brazil because we don't have the "Ñ" letter in our alphabet, so that's kinda odd
