what independence?...kurds have exact same freedom as Turks in Turkey. Oops I have forgot to mentioned... there were never a country called kurdistan...may be for a couple hours on the paper while barbarians / colonizers were dividing the Ottoman Empire. So basically you have more freedom in Turkey than anywhere in the world you could get. If it is not enough freedom for you, than you should go to Iran and intervene with kurds and Turkey from there.

It is not about who ruled where, it is about Azeris being independent nation, and almost a majority in Iran, that are not allowed to have a schools in their own language. Deprived of basic human rights. Almost all scientists in last 200 years of Iran were related to Azarbaijan, and yet they are being discriminated in daily life in Iran. Little bit about history and why this topic is confusing for a lot of people. Current day Iran and Azerbaijan are pretty much very similar culturally and even you could say linguistic and religion; however, in current day Iran Farsis have confused their own history and perception of reality. Iran had always dominating Turkic ruler and elite class, Persian language was language of poetry and bureaucracy, just because we speak English does it make us Anglo- Saxon? No, even the Shia ideology was brought to current day Iran by Qizilbash while majority of Farsis were Sunnis. Music, cuisine, history are all part of Azerbaijan both south and north, Farsis from zabulistan should understand that and stop appropriating our culture and history and go back to xerxes and Sasanid empire

Don't get me wrong but Turkic rulers were in Iran for 1000 years. As a civilised people and tribes why they didn't have their own literature or written alphabet? At least for all those 1000 years they had enough time to be mindful and create something as Turkic alphabet, literature. Why they had to adopt from Farsi and not Arabic, Greek or Hindi? Actually I liked your example for saying : ...we speak English does it make us Angelo Saxon? I am agree with you. No But we decided to immigrate to new land or country like USA for better life. We entered into USA, we were count as a guest and USA as a host. As a rule of thumb we have no choice to learn the language / calture and obey the rules of the land and later on become citizen under the oath. Do you agree with this? So Turkic tribes immigrated from Central Asia to greater Iran (if you want to accept that was exist) and Anatolia. So all those tribes had no choice to adopt themselves to the language and calture that already were there. We can't just refer each other to Turkic rulers or deny existence of Iranian calture and heritage.

Recently, Azerbaijan has had a rough relationship with Iran as the Fars regime is constantly threatening the 2 nations by holding military training near their borders. A couple of days ago Aliyev talked about the struggle of South Azeris and said "The Azerbaijani president on Friday said his country will do its best to protect all Azerbaijanis across the world, including those living in Iran" The situation is really messy as the moment but nothing can prevent the freedom of South Azerbaijan.

The history contents of your last 3 clips are misleading. There are many comments with valid references on your first clip, it seems you don't care. Qajar lost the war to Russia and here is the result and reality, few broken pieces of Azerbaijan. Apart from history, incase of breakout of any war Azerbaijani people will suffer most.
