This world series was INSANE. I was in 7th grade when this happened and I think of this every college world series now lol. I'm a TN fan but we will likely never see what SC did in this CWS ever again.

As a Gator fan,, Game 1 was probably the most heartbreaking baseball game I've ever watched. Damn good South Carolina team who beat a damn good Gator team that year.

+James Hill Watched tht game. I am a Carolina fan and that was the most amazing game I have ever seen. My heart was pounding from the 8th inning on, fr sure though Florida would win. Hell of a gator team. And watch out looks like SC and Florida could be back in the CWS again this year.

@ace2011ify Thanks for the kind words--they have made a really exceptional run, especially when you consider how outgunned they were offensively for many of those games. I think we can at least say it was as good a defensive performance over a 2-year stretch as we've ever seen. Still, 5 consecutive years is a pretty tough act to follow!

Love baseball and live ten minutes from U.S.C campus lots and lots of heartbreak but those 2010 2011 teams could not be beat first day of 2021 and still pissed tanner took A.D job they could have got anybody to do that
