This pickup was all about depth. Lanorris is the starter and using pff grades to downplay how good he was. Watch the film, probably with a family siz bag pf cheetos big man, and you will see how ridiculous your opinion is. Noland is here to develop so he can step in when sellers leaves for the nfl or if he gets banged up. He throws a great deep ball. And he has grown as a passer. Get out with this nonsense analysis.

Listen... this isn't a replacement move... it's an insurance move. LaNorris, as good as he is, is also a mobile QB, and with that, he becomes an injury risk and up until this point, we didn't have an insurance QB, especially with Robby Ashford leaving.

Beamer is an A for sure. He is not the best version of himself yet, but he will get better and better plus he loves South Carolina! I hope the name Shane becomes synonymous with South Carolina just like Frank did with Va. Tech. Sellers is getting Heisman hype for next year already. What are we doing here? We did not land a potential replacement for him. Noland is a depth piece for now. I’m super excited for the future with Noland on board, but this is Sellers’ team.

I was NEVER "off the Beamer train" (but I saw a fair number of rats jump ship after the first game, which was a win btw against Old Dominion). Last season was entirely the result of an unbelievable rash of injuries that took out the starting O-line and their backups for the entire season. They didn't even have enough players to fill out the second team in practice. And oh yeah, they also lost All-SEC WR Juice Wells for the season (after he played only one series against Georgia and scored a TD). It's been clear that Beamer was exceeding expectations with the bare cupboard he was left with initially after the MusChump catastrophe. Now he's getting his players, recruiting incredibly well and even out-recruiting the likes of Steve Spurrier when it comes to both QB's and O-line. There is no point in SC history that they had a 5-star QB until Spencer Rattler; and the idea that they would have a homegrown potential Heisman QB in 2025; and bring in the number 5 overall QB recruit to back him up (along with a 4-star like Dante Reno, and incoming SC high school Player of the Year Cutter Woods) is a wealth of riches unlike anything Carolina has seen before. So Beamer has done an A+ job after taking over a 2-win team and he's done it with a ton of homegrown talent as well as a fertile mine of players (Nyck Harbor, Dylan Stewart, Big Tree Babalade) from the DMV. A+ even though they didn't make the CFP? Yes! If/when they reach it, Beamer will get an A++. But as for now the rats are back on board pretending they never left, but already just taking it for granted that SC gets a player like Air Noland from Ohio St. People forget their history and get entitled so quickly.

Never underestimate the power of positional synergy..extracting the best attributes from each other while offering insurance for injury concerns, including taking a perceived stronghold over a starting position for granted. I love the move I only have a hard time fully buying in until the pads are on and playbooks are being developed these days 😳

When a coach says that being the HC at South Carolina is and has always been his dream job, that's the coach you hire. I've been a South Carolina fan all my life, my wife and I both are graduates as well as former athletes. I played baseball and she played soccer, South Carolina football has always had the stigma of the place where football coaches go to die.

Much is why Air Noland was brought in. Which is why Cutter is being so heavily recruited… we need death at Qb… yes Sellers is Numero Uno but what if he gets hurt like your saying as had happened in the LSU game and several other games but the others Ashford was able to manage the clock and score.

There's gonna be a lot of so called "Carolina fans" in this comment section talking about how much they LOVE Beamer now after the season we just had and how recruiting has been going. BUT I want to say that a large majority of them were calling for his job or had him on the "hot seat" going into this season just because we had ONE BAD SEASON! The man adores it here, and loves his job in a way not every coach does these days, and has overachieved every single year except for one, and yet some of these so called "fans" were over him already. So just remember these times the next time we have a bad game, or a bad season. This is the man for the job, and he will get this program to levels it's never been at before. Most winningest head coach in his first 4 years in school history and that's even before we go get this Citrus Bowl W, for only our 5th every double digit win season. Beamer gets an A+ in my book all day long!

You aren’t breaking news and you aren’t a better fan than anybody because you was carrying some coach’s jock strap. There’s no time for a bad season and if he has another one then we need to be critical of him and his coaches. If you suck for a whole year at your job your bosses will be discussing replacing you, you may not know but that discussion will happen and it should. Beamer isn’t all of a sudden perfect either. He still has huge problems on the O line and that coach should have been gone 2 years ago, instead Beamer gave him a $250k raise!! This guys get paid insane amounts of money to Win and if they don’t win they are wasting our money. I’m not willing to just accept that.

We’re not some historic program, and in the day and age we’re in, a coach needs more time than ever to piece together a successful roster that will stick together for more than 1 season at a time. He’s proven year after year that he’s building towards levels of success we’ve never seen. People like you who want to just fire a coach after one bad season where we were RIDDLED with injuries, after the success he had before AND after that, would be the reason this school never sees a championship. The coaches don’t go out on the field and play the game, there’s only so much they can do to achieve things for the team. If we fired Beamer after last year we never would’ve SNIFFED 9 wins this year, maybe not even a bowl game, we’d be back at ground zero. Beamer is the right guy for this job, and no it’s not breaking news and it’s not some revolutionary take, it’s just FACTS.

@ I can see that you struggle with reading comprehension. Let me try to help you understand what I told you AGAIN. Nobody said fire him after one bad season but he doesn’t get to use injuries for excuses. Those injuries were almost exclusively soft tissue injuries and it is HIS responsibility to train and diet in a way to avoid those type of injuries. If one bad season turned in to two then it would absolutely be time to help him figure out what coaches need to change and remind him that failure to make the right moves and get back on track would cost him his job. I have 0 personal attachment to Shane Beamer, if he wins I want him to stay and if he don’t I want him to go. Don’t forget that his bad decisions are what caused the disaster with Old Miss this year and his failure to hire a good O Line coach is what lost the LSU and Bama games. He did well enough to earn more time but he needs to make vast improvement in his judgement and decision making. I know I threw a lot at you and you seem kind of slow so read carefully.

Overall in Beamers tenure… B-.. he held on to Marcus Satterfield as OC too long.. I get he had the Tennessee.. clemson.. & bowl win but that 3 game stretch wasn’t good enough to make us forget how below average the offense was.. And u are securing a backup to Lanorris.. I don’t like it too much bc I believe Reno was definitely capable and willing to wait his turn to be QB1 behind Sellers..

He will be seen as an elite passer in 2205 as the WR room develops. He ain't getting benched for an inexperienced FR QB tat just transferred in. THINK and use some common sense before you speak !

Look I’m sure you guys weren’t two feet from the television for every Carolina game like I was so I can understand that this take is probably just a product of ignorance. Guys look! Lenorris sellers will go down in history as the best QB to ever put on a Gamecock uniform. Stats don’t tell the story at all. Trust me when I say that this transfer get is 100% QB 2 backup to Sellers. This get is because most of us see that Lenorris will be going to the NFL after next year. This is strictly for a post Sellers timeline. SELLERS WILL BE THE BEST QB IN THE SEC AND POSSIBLY THE ENTIRE COUNTRY NEXT SEASON. MARK MY WORDS!!!
