I grew up in Newberry County traveling Hwy 34 to Greenwood. Only learned a few years back of the ghost town. Good job and thank you. South Carolina is steeped deep in our country's history.

I have family buried at the Crossroads Baptist Church (Summer). There was a two-holer behind the church last time I visited (2013). Thanks for the video.

I'm a Chappell as well. My folks was out of Americus, Georgia. My great great grandfather moved to Walker County Alabama in the 1850ish and that's where we are today.

Great story. Seems like the towns people did their best to rebuild many times. It to bad they threw in the towel. Thanks Tony for viewing this town. Well done.

I thought so too. It's fun trying to visualize what it must of looked like 100 years ago.
