As a SC fan, I realize Florida is a very good team and they scare me. But Coach Paris seems to do pretty well against these good teams. Should be an exciting game.

We're rooting for Tennessee to beat Alabama (and then for Bama to lose at Florida next.) We're also going to root for Kentucky to beat the Vols at the end of the year. If that happens, and we win out, South Carolina would be the outright champs in the SEC. It's a longshot, but it's not impossible.

this Gamecocks squad is resilient enough to where the fearsome Southeastern 14 Kiss of Death will not be enough to impact them. Florida is certainly an excellent team, but I believe we match up quite well against them. I will say, though, that-as you all have discussed before-Florida is stylistically similar to both Alabama and Kentucky. we walloped one of those teams (Kentucky), while the other walloped us (Alabama). I have the utmost faith in my Gamecocks, but it will clearly be a difficult one

I think Carolina will win - but for that to happen #1 CMB has to stay out of foul trouble and be able to get his minutes, #2 Gray and Mackie have to play well under the basket, and #3 they need to control the tempo. The fact that this game is in Columbia is a big added plus - I heard today that there are only 3 tickets left as of Thursday so the CLA should be rockin.... Finally the SE14 kiss is broken !
