We've lived in southwestern South Dakota for 10 years now. The summer of 2019 was the most amazing clover season (yellow flowers you see covering the pastures) we've seen so far. It seemed like it was everywhere! Very pretty, and the honey bees love it.

Very cool! Love that part of the world, and I think Nebraska is the most underrated state in the union. Get off the interstate, head north to the Sandhills or Pine Ridge and it's another planet from the I-80 Death March Of Boredom. If you get a little farther west from Chadron US 20 to Nebraska 71 near Fort Robinson would be a great ride - the "buttes" you mention in this video. Follow that road into South Dakota and you come out at Ardmore, a modern ghost town in SD. Thanks!

Yeah, I really like that whole area! In 2016 I did a trip across Nebraska on Lincoln highway and headed Northwest to Scotts Bluff, I really want to get back to that area.
