I loved this game. I am happy for the Jackrabbits as they certainly deserved this WIN after so many years of Bison (NDSU) domination. I was hoping that SDSU would take this title and they came well prepared! I competed in this North Central Conference (1978-1980) for two years in X-C and Track & Field. This is a top tier conference and region on the national stage in the Country. I made All-American (NCAA) out of this conference, and was proud to represent them. Went on to become a World Class athlete for four years and raced the PRO tour against the best and fastest on the globe. I attended the University of Northern Colorado.

​@Soviet19171 I'm a huge sdsu fan, and they would get throttled by Georgia, lmao. Would've been worse than tcu. As an estimation, a few of the fcs champion teams might be able to rank top 25 in the fbs, nowhere near #1. For reference, first game of the season, jacks lost to Iowa, granted by the end of the season I think sdsu would've had a good chance to beat Iowa.
