I lost mine when I was 7. And I’ll tell you, being a father myself of twin boys aged 20 and me at 53 years of age. Losing my Dad at such a young age has been devastating ever since. So all of you that have your Dad, love your parents and spend lots of time with them. After they’re gone, the void will definitely affect you for the rest of your lives. May Almighty God creator of heavens and earth bless all of you ❤❤❤

Robert, I just said a prayer for Mr. Walt. I have been watching you and Gabe ever since he dove into that pond chasing the iguana. I have heard him in videos saying that's when his life changed forever but because of your family so has mine. My step dad is who I started deer hunting with around 1998. He is a survivor of PC as well as his oldest brother. Your Dad has to beat this. Power of positive thinking and prayers. You got this Mr. Walt!!

Dang Brother. I'm so sorry for your Dad's diagnosis. I love you, Gabe, Kelly, and the occasional Deer Mom's videos. Your Family intrigues me and I just love the "come up" story. Even all of your Kiddos brighten my days while watching your videos. I am praying for your Dad and I know that you have Angels watching over you in so many ways. Please just know that you, your Family, and your ventures are prayed for by complete strangers. I love your story and I love the support that Sarah has provided. All the while seeing a version of you that early on, you may never have seen. Please just see your purpose, pray against the enemy, and be blessed in every way. I absolutely love you, Sarah, Gabe and Kelly, and all that you are doing. Thank you for being authentic. May God bless each and every one of you.

We serve a powerful God and there is nothing impossible for him . Time spent with family and friends in the outdoors is priceless . Keep up the good work Robert and God bless your family . Prayers go out to your Pops . After going through prostate myself I am so thankful God has been there the whole time. I trust in God for your dad . I had the most aggressive type of cancer and with God first and the doctors being aggressive as well ,I am doing great . Praise God he has been close by all the time. Cheers from Ontario ,Canada.

My Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer a number of years ago. The doctors almost "waited and watched" too long. He had his removed just before it metastasized. I am militant about getting checked every year, which he encourages. My heart and prayers go out to your family.

This video gave me tears. Everything you've ever said about your dad is admirable. My dad is still alive and doesn't really like fishing or hunting much. He loves drinking and bbqing but he never got into harvesting our own meat, and that's something I hope to teach to my kids because of you Robert 👏 thank u.

My father took me squirrel and rabbit hunting in the hills of Kentucky when I was a boy. He was a great woodsman and excellent marksman. He was a Vietnam veteran and had many health problems when he came home from the war. He died when I was 26, at age 49. I would give anything to walk in the woods with him again. Excellent video and I love your channel!!

Nothing like hunting with your dad! Last year My father and I were invited to a private ranch near borne Texas, Because my father is a veteran. The ranch manager brought us out to shoot MLD does no charge, something he does every year for Veterans and gold star familly members. This isnt a little 40 acre hill country spot, it was an amazing 1200 acres property deep in a hill side that loked like colorado in Texas! He fed us and had full hook ups for my dads camper, we sat around camp fire every night and fellowshipped together. Between hunts we caught huge bass from the stocked pond! I have hunted with my dad all my life, but had never shot a WT buck(period were we hunted growing up we passed them because there were so few WT buck). The rancher offered us a Buck tag, my father wanted me to have it and gave it to me. we got to share in that amazing moment together, I shot a beautiful managment 6 point and he shot 2 huge managment does. Memories made in the field with Family are the most important, weather hunting or fishing or camping or even just walking and hiking. Dont take that time for granted, cherish it forever because someday it wont be possible to make those memories anymore.

After meeting my dad at 16 finally, he sadly passed a short time later not long after I got out of basic training in the Army. I've had great men in my life pass down their knowledge since childhood about fishing and the outdoors but I didn't get into hunting until 3 years ago. It's something I never got to do with my dad but I'll always share these experiences with my kids and them with theirs. It's time my family had that generational love for the outdoors. God Bless your dad and the family, brother. Many prayers your way.

Prayers for your dad Rob. Enjoy every moment with him and make as many memories as you can. Lost my old man 6 years ago and miss the times we used to spend together but the memories of those good times are still there.

This is why I love your channel. Family. It warms my heart. Robert, you were the first person I thought of when I saw Djonesoutdoors save a 6 year old little boy from the lake. He was fishing in his kayak and heard the boys screams. I thought maybe you two can do a collaboration together and blow up his channel.

My Grandpa was a long hunter. For as long as I can remember he spent sept to dec in the woods. Growing up having him teach me all that he knew shaped who I am today. He was diagnosed with pacreatic cancer and refused treatments he fought for four years then my grandma passed and after 65 years together he decided he needed to be with her he took a fishing pole and a lawn chair out to his pond casted a line sat down and had a heart attack. I stopped hunting and fishing after he passed now 6 years later during the summer my grandson asked me to take him fishing down at grandpa's pond. cherish all the time you spend with family

I’ve been watching you for a couple of years. Just got diagnosed with prostate cancer at 54. Don’t ever think it’s not possible, it is. Not the end of the world, but it’s life altering

I am always amazed by your videos but this one was one of the best. I'm sending prayers for your dad. I will always remember when my dad passed. In a different vein, I have been using your recipe for a filling with Goat cheese, Craisins (dried Cranberries) and pine nuts. OMG, when I first tried it, I couldn't believe how great it was, and now I do it all the time!!! Thank you for being!! TGBTG
