I gotta tell ya, Josh. As a NCCCO certified crane operator, when that container broke completely free and swung away from Hulk and the front wheel of Hulk slid, I could see the lean and the verge of disaster decending on the situation. Butt pucker moment for me, I tell ya. Those outriggers were screamin for mercy!!! Good on ya for not freaking out and getting it all stable enough to continue, while walking the tight rope. I can tell you obviously know your equipment. Great job!

Butt pucker for sure What kind of cranes did you operate? I'm always fascinated how similar yet different rotators vs cranes are. Like I explained though, WORST case scenario the truck wouldn't even pick up the container. It would float to a point where I say nopeeee def not happening. Or once it came off the chassis, it would have just landed on it a bit sideways. Crazy stuff!

The REAL issue was that the container was overweight as you pointed out to the driver afterwards. I used to design roof and floor trusses for commercial buildings and we always assumed the worst-case scenario (over-design and over-build it) so that in the event you come across a situation like this, you can handle it even though he may have told you the weight and you continued with the job, knowing that you had reached that "over-build" threshold. It becomes more of a judgment call in this case. Good job bro.
