Now those were some Cool little White Units. Interesting to also see a little White Slug on this Railroad also. 👍

Indeed, a cool operation with some unique power no doubt!

Its actually a light gray. Altoona Shops has the paint code in their system as "Sandersville Grey". The red stripe that tapers at 45 deg on hood ends is a homage to an old Georgia RR design.

@@sandersvillerailroad7451 Thanks for that tidbit, interesting to note they have their own seemingly unique color named after them.

The hidden gem known as the Sandersville Railroad, awesome work as always! I hope it's never swallowed up by G&W!

It’s certainly a unique little RR. Would hate to see an orange takeover.

💯Very interesting article about Sandersville RR. 👍There's also a kaolin railway near me, which is the DB Cargo branch line with the highest turnover in Germany. I find your labelling very informative. Thank you from the bottom of my ❤.Andreas 👨✈🌟🌟🌟

It’s a very cool railroad for sure! Do you have any videos of your local kaolin railway? I’d love to see them! Thanks for the kind words!

Glad you liked it! There were several other NS trains that passed by while I was preoccupied with the Sandersville. Can’t catch them all unfortunately!

Looks like a well run little operation; look at those tracks...they're so well maintained that the cars hardly have any rock nor sway to them.

Most certainly some of if not the best shortline trackage I’ve ever seen. They certainly generate the revenue to support the well-maintained infrastructure!

@@CSXAC4400CWno5112 are you still on the Abbeville Sub? Hardly hear any trains anymore, not compared to just a few years ago. I remember in the early 90s all the piggyback trains that would absolutely fly down through here.

@@jamesmdean1987 Yes I am. It’s certainly hit or miss nowadays, especially since there are only four scheduled daily through freights. Not long ago, it was 14-16 per day with numerous grain, coal, and ethanol trains. Sad state of affairs on the old SAL. My next video will feature a good bit of action from the line, though!

@@CSXAC4400CWno5112 looking forward to it! When we go to Winder and see a train stopped at Cash Rd or Giles Rd in the siding, we will normally stop and wait a bit to see if there is another coming. My daughter followed in my footsteps in trains. We got lucky a few weeks ago, an autorack was stopped at Giles, and within 10 minutes of each other, 2 trains came by, then the autorack took off. Daughter got a horn salute, made her happy, made me smile.
