Very nice video. I was an engineer on this line about 10 years ago when one of the current crew members was on vacation (I was based on the Fulton County RR out of Atlanta). Those hills could be a pain to pull a train on, especially heading back to Washington when hauling those covered hoppers full of plastic pellets and the tank cars of butane during the late summer/fall rush. Sometimes we had to double the hill once we past the Little River because of that last hill before we reached Washington. That 4433 would get a hard workout, but we usually made it in. Thanks for the memories!

Wow, thanks for the great backstory and information! I did see some tank cars parked on a spur, but wasn’t sure if they were stored or not. Good to know there seems to be some other commodities being shipped. I’d certainly like to revisit and catch the NB return.

Same! Definitely a nice change of pace from the usually repetitive Class 1 action.

Love the wood chips. Can you show us the plant that fills the cars? Where are those chips going?

445 needs to come back home on the W&W. Nobody likes that dreaded omnitrax it sucks and they get rid of all the good power and leave the railroads with crappie power and wonders why they struggle
