SOUTH OF FRANCE VLOG: how to travel the South of France including Nice, Saint-Tropez and Cap-d'Ail

We're still in the lovely country of France this week but this time it's a South of France vlog. You guys, there are a TON of tips for how to travel the South of France. Tita and I are in Villefranche-sur-Mer, Nice, Saint-Tropez and Cap d'Ali. Learn from our mistakes with using the Metro and buses in the South of France. If you're pondering traveling to any of these beautiful cities hopefully this vlog wins you over!! Enjoy tagging along for some stunning views, amazing meals and even better drinks.

Hi!! To get to st tropez the way we did (train then bus) it cost us about 40 euros each round trip! There are faster, more expensive ways to get there as well by ferry or private car, etc. We didn’t need a reservation for the Dior cafe we just walked up and waited in line! But I think we got pretty lucky so I would probably recommend a reservation 🤍

Should be good weather by May, but sometimes there's lots of rain at that time of the year. May is the start of the 'season' in Monaco and Cannes, starting with the film fest in Cannes and the F1 in Monaco, ending with the Monaco yacht show in September. Do try and make time to come here to Monaco, it's not far. It's a nice journey by bus or by car, but the coast roads can be congested at that time of the year. The alternative is the train to Monaco, or a different road route.

Yes it was straightforward!! We took the train and then a bus which took us from the train station straight into st tropez!

Where is the viewpoint where you took sunset photos in Nice? How do you get to it?

I forget the name of the viewpoint but there’s a staircase/path you can take to the top! The beginning of it is right by the I 🤍 nice sign!!

Castle hill. It’s a ton of stairs but there is a park at the top and a few ways to get up. The views as you go up are so worth it. Sometimes the elevator works but don’t depend on it.

I know right I don’t understand that rule at all!! I was able to snag a few sneaky photos but there was a guy escorting us around the store. He was pretty chill about it but he was like don’t let anyone else see you take photos 🤷🏼‍♀️

It was actually not bad! Would definitely recommend looking on Airbnb for accommodation there are lots of good options!
