Hey man, was wondering if you had any tips I just started surf fishing last week and I’ve been out twice since total I’ve only caught 6 catfish and 1 whiting. Do you have any rig recommendations and bait for spi? Would mean a lot for any info shared thanks man also subscribed cool videos 👍🏻

Yo! Sorry for responding late. For surf fishing...I recommend a hi/lo rig aka pompano rig. You can buy them at Gilbert's or Quick Stop in Port Isabel. As far as bait...I use fresh dead shrimp, fresh dead mullet...you can also use fish you catch to use as cut bait. I use spider sinkers to grab the bottom, so the current doesn't sweep your pyramid sinker and line away. Most important...never give up and....learn from mistakes. Grind it out and have fun...tight lines!
